[A-RP] Growing Too Gold For This!

A leafy leaflet with moonglow ink is neatly placed on the local billboard:

More than a year ago the Botany Band discovered a lucrative approach to a lucky herb that has since been a well-guarded secret. However, in our recent attempts to raise funds for future expeditions, we are now offering to teach the technique to all budding botanists for a mere hundred pieces of gold. Do you feel lucky?

Quest Objective: Obtain a hundred coins of gold and meet with the Botany Band in the Greenhouse at the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran (Broken Isles) on the next Night of the Moon (20th of April at 20:00 server time) and receive further instructions. Half a dusin of adventurers are required for the expedition to depart!

The Botany Band is a roleplay guild with focus on adventurous study of plantlife. We welcome every friendly adventurer with a green thumb! :four_leaf_clover:

A Malfurion-inspired worgen druid sees the leafy leaflet, and stops to read it

“What is the Band up to now…?
A hundred gold?
That might exclude some less wealthy adventurers from this adventure…
I mean, The Band’s excursions are always exciting - and their lectures are always interesting… But… A hundred gold.
Why a hundred?”

An acquaintance walks up, and stops to look at the same leaflet, reads it, and reacts somewhat similarly to Gordon, but after a while he shrugs. “Maybe they need funds for something. Did you know they had their crowd gathering fungi for them this Monday?”

Gordon looks at his … acquaintance.

“But I have never known them to demand payment for their lectures, nor their adventures…”

The ‘acquaintance’ suddenly chuckles,

“I remember when they invited people to Northrend, to search for a seemingly rare flower.
If I remember correctly, they insisted we all had to wear a ‘lucky’ shirt… I didn’t have one, so I had to buy it in Stormwind. I still have it, in some drawer…”

Gordon peers thoughtfully at his acquaintace.

“How much did that ‘lucky’ shirt cost…?”

Maradan walks up to the leaflet and reads it. "what’s this? "he mumbles to himself. "a hundred gold coins? " newer heros might not have that. "I’m lucky " he thinks "I craft jewellery " “maybe I’ll get some extras to help people who cant afford that” ,"I know Dulvarinn works hard on the band, shouldn’t I do this at least? " .Maradan puts up a new note near the leaflet,in midnight ink on light parchment, that reads "to those unable to afford the gold, are new to adventures and need a helping hand-come to dalaran a bit earlier so that I can help you. -signed "The Attuned " "

– ‘An’da! An’da! The sentinels really liked my Moonberry Pie! I may not be old enough to ride with them, but at least I can make sure that they do not grow hungry. Right, An’da?’

– ‘Let me get this straight,’ said Fray as she stared at the bulging sack of coins on her table: ‘You have just spent most of your newly acquired fortune by buying the entire stock of Riverbud and Siren’s Pollen from the Tradewinds Market to produce the healing potions stored in these crates?’

The druid nodded and she continued in slight disbelief:

– ‘And now you wish to spend your last gold to ship it all to Darkshore?’

– ‘Yes,’ answered the druid firmly.

Fray shrugged and examined the crates of neatly packed crystal vials.

– ‘There must be at least ten scores of potions? Well, I suppose we could do that. They are not called ‘coastal rejuvenation potions’ for nothing! How much will you pay?’

The antlered druid regarded her for a moment.

– ‘I will give you five scores of gold pieces now and another five scores when I know that the shipment has reached Lor’danel.’

The provisioner’s eyes widened. Then she eagerly presented her hand and smiled as they concluded the deal.

– ‘Consider it done! The goods shall leave Boralus Harbour in the morning and the Army of the Black Moon shall receive the shipment before the end of the week!’

– ‘Thank you, provisioner. I shall trust your discretion.’

He left the sack on the table, stood up from his chair and walked towards the entrance to the harbormaster’s office.

– ‘Oh, just one more thing,’ said Fray already counting the coins: ‘What’s in the last crate?’

The druid turned around in the doorway and gave her a final look before leaving the building:

– ‘Moonberry Pie.’
