[A-RP] Hammer of Wrynn - We are recruiting!

“The scorching sun beat down upon the desolate terrain of the Broken Isles and the ominous fel crackled in the skies above them, as the soldiers of the Grand Alliance made landfall on the cursed coast now inhabited by demons all over. The King’s Army had come to join the Horde in the fight against the Legion and were determined to beat back this dreadful horror in order to restore peace to Azeroth.

The memories of the demons that brought down the King’s Gunship still lingering fresh on their minds, the brave men and women of the Alliance Vanguard set foot upon the cursed shores with only one goal in mind. Cut through the first line of defense and make way to the King, the rest would follow. So they marched ever onward, sheer determination in their eyes.

As they pushed forward, the sounds of battle echoed around them, the clashing of steel, the roar of magic searing through the skies and the thunderous footsteps of demonic juggernauts. The Alliance soldiers stood tall, shields raised to protect their allies, weapons drawn to defend their world. They had faced many trials before, but the demons of the Burning Legion were a different breed of monster.

Then they were united with their King, whom took charge of an army that would not falter due to the greater cause they all served. They had families, friends and home to protect and they would do so with every last breath remaining in their bodies. The King led them into battle and the Alliance Army fought with the ferocity of lions, their blades cutting down demons by the score. They marched forward with an unrelenting assault, their feet pounding the broken earth beneath them as they charged their objective.

The Vanguard of the 8th Army Division fought with such honour, bravey and fierce determination that some considered them the very embodiment of the Grand Alliance. A symbol of hope in a world gone mad. Even with countless demons stood before them, they were no longer afraid. For they had long forsaken their hopes of survival and furthermore dealt only in absolutes. It was death to them, or the enemy. And as they strode onward, delivering crushing blows to scores of demon filth, they earned themselves their name for their unrelenting assault falling upon the foe with such thunderous might.

The Hammer of Wrynn.

And they would stop at nothing to live up to this name…”

**** Unknown Alliance Soldier, Memories of the Broken Shore***

Hello everyone!

The “Hammer of Wrynn” is a newly formed guild looking to establish itself within the Alliance Community.

The Hammer of Wrynn officially serves as the 8th Division of the Grand Alliance Army and is most often deployed as a vanguard force that is usually the first in a zone of conflict.

The guild is meant to provide a setting in roleplay that is militant in its core, but opens up to variety of interesting cultural and social roleplay due to the diversity of alliance races allowed among its ranks.

There is a more proper AA page in the works and generally, we can be found ingame and be adressed there for information and if one find themselves interested they are most welcome to approach us in whispers!

Ingame Contact: Granfort, Nalarthiel

Hope to see you ingame soon and get to roleplay with you all.

Light bless and king’s honour, friend!

This Project has been a long time coming.

Some things that the post above, which serves as more as a teaser and a storytelling foundation for who we are, might not go into details about, are this:

What we offer:

  • Narrative Driven Campaigns taking place all across Azeroth, and the occasional stint beyond

  • Player Progression, both in the forms of Ranks and Baked into our own, D&D derivative RPG System.

  • Some real dank memes.

  • During Campaigns we try to offer at least 2 large events a week over the weekend, DM’ed by a handful of Veteran DMs.

What are our goals?

IC:

IC our Goal is of course to Serve the Alliance and its Interests at Home and Abroad. That is to say, fight the good fight for that Blue and Gold Lion and all its holdings.

OOC:

On the OOC side our goal is to build a small, tight knit community with like minded people with whom we can share our love of Storytelling with, people whom we can enjoy hanging out with, both IC and OOC.

Who are We looking for? Roleplayers with a passion for RP that goes beyond casual stints at the local Taverns and around Stormwind, that is not to say we don’t engage in Social RP, it is simply not our focus. And ideally roleplayers interested in a more militant, ordered setting, that is not to say there is no room for individuality however!

You’d need to be willing to spend weeks at a time away from Hubs, out on Campaign with your fellow Guild Members, so if the Storylines of Stormwind are integral to your Character, then we are unlikely to be the best fit.

Ultimately, we’re looking for people to have fun on this exciting journey alongside us, and the best way to find out if we are the right fit for one another would be to meet IC and see if we have a connection!

"The Hammer of Wrynn is going strong and just this week we had our first series of events, as we deploy into the eastern fringes of the Kingdom of Stormwind for our very first campaign, investigating and taking care of Primalist stirred incursions that need dealing with.

Feel free to join our ranks and accompany us on this month long venture of events!"

First campaign complete. And with that done, I can definitely say this is a solid guild. Already a nice group of friendly and grand guild-mates. Looking forward to the future.

Edit: My fat thumbs on a small keyboard = many typos that need correcting

Interesting. Could potentially work well with my return-to-RP character I’m planning.

Who would I need to speak to regarding a potential event, an co-host storyline almost. At the worst it’ll be a bit of a different event for the members?

You work that out with either Nalarthiel or Granfort.

Thanks. I’ll add them in game. Appreciate the quick response.

As our good friend and staunch guildie, Lorcan put it, we’ve indeed concluded our first campaign. And what a glorious adventure it turned out to be! We left the humble Garrison we’re normally stationed at behind, on what we assumed would be a punitive expedition culling mere gnolls. If not for the sheer scope of enemy numbers, one might’ve simply considered it a foregone conclusion.

This Adventure turned out to be anything but, the fledgeling Hammer had to endure many hardships and uphill battles across the fiery steppes at the foot of Black Rock, against an enemy far more insidious than first realised, as luck would have it, at least in our narrative, the primalists were not quite ready to simply let the rest of Azeroth be and stick to just attacking the mythical Dragon Isles.

More than once things looked bleak, more than once injuries were sustained and we had to drag each other’s battered bodies away from the field. But in the end we claimed victory and cut off the head of the snake! Somewhat, the enemy had indeed managed to achieve their objectives, and in so doing, left us in the proverbial winds as far as leads go. We’ve no choice but to follow the strings of fate that ever tug us towards danger.

And thus, with our triumphant returns, and an obligatory round of celebrations held, and merriment had. We now enjoy some needed time off to rest, recuperate and replenish our numbers. Both myself and Granfort can be found either around Stormwind or the Westbrook Garrison most days, otherwise you can simply reach out to us via whispers in game!
