Songs of thunder filled the weary skies of Stormheim, winds howling Fenryrâs cry as rain continued lashing down upon The Runewood. A group of cloaked figures stood before the entrance of Haustvald as they broke through the thicket of foliage, nothing but a flickering torch to illuminate their path through the squelching wet mud underfoot. âWeâre almost there!â Cried out a voice. The group persisted through, headstrong as ever until they descended the stairway, where the walls broke the wind, and silenced the weather above.
The founders began to make their descent into the ruins, shielded by their strongest, most trusted Heathen guard, stalwart and loyal these fighters are bound by blood as they have proven themselves time and time again. The hunters, they moved with deft pace and wit with a hard advance, scouting out the terrain for hostiles, prepared to fight man or beast alike. The gatherers remained at the bulk of the force, though some opted to join the hunters in their scouting. Despite what their name implies, the gatherers are skilled healers and medics with an aptitude for survival. Acolytes, for the most part latched on to either hunters or gatherers evenly, pushing themselves to prove their worth to the cause.
A sudden quake in the earth shook the very foundations of the ruins and the sound of ear-piercing howls reverberated from the walls âWolves.â Spoke out one of the members.
âEasily underestimated due to how weak they can be alone, but this⊠this is a whole pack of them.â
From the high ground the wolves leapt, the Heathens drew their weapons and readied their spells, it was time to fight.
Welcome to the forum page for the new guild called Heathens of Old! I hope you liked the introduction and that I have grabbed your attention! We are an Alliance side role playing guild with a focus on a nomadic/military style.
The concept as a whole is based around the idea of finding like-minded characters who wish to learn and explore the worship of the titan-keepers, and just as Tyr helped save the Human race, the Heathens of Old see it as their duty to defend the sacred grounds of the titan-keepers from the ever present threats to Azeroth as well as keep the traditions of their history alive through the practice of rituals, pilgrimages etcetera. The guild is quite unique as it requires members to give personal purpose behind joining, and thus encourages personal development for each player involved, in the Heathens youâre not just a number, or an extra body in uniform.

Founder â The original founders of the Heathens of Old.

Heathen Guard â The most respected rank of the Heathens, you have been proven to be the most loyal, most hardworking and brutal combatant. There is no one else a person would rather be shield-by-shield with on the front line than you.

Hunter â After being an acolyte, you have proven yourself to be a capable warrior, whether it be with a bow, an axe, or magic. Your job is typically violent in nature, so donât be afraid to get your knuckles bloodied.

Witch â After being an acolyte, you have proven yourself to be a resourceful individual, you can patch and heal injuries, or perhaps you know your way around a woodlandâs foliage. Either way, as a gatherer you are a vital asset to the Heathens as you keep us alive and provide for us.

Acolyte â Youâve just been initiated and now are simply doing what youâre best at. You may be told to do menial tasks, but this rank is vital in determining just how far youâll go among the heathens, now, go and fetch the firewood.
We accept all races and classes excluding Death Knights and Demon Hunters, the only requirement is that your character has a justifiable reason to join!
