A poster would be plastered on various noticeboards all over Stormwind.
“Citizens of the Alliance! As the war rages on against the hated Banshee Queen and her monstrous Horde, more soldiers than ever are needed at the front if we are to bring an end to this war. The newly formed Lion Company has been created to bolster our beleaguered forces in Arathi, and beyond, and we call upon any brave sons and daughters of the Alliance to join our ranks! Any and all races and specialties may apply! Please seek Commander Laenyra Autumnwind for recruitment.”
OOC:
So, I’ve decided to boldly walk the path of forming my own Military RP guild. My goal is to provide another Alliance Military RP option for the server, though open to all races instead of being humanocentric, which seems quite silly with how diverse the Alliance Military is represented in game.
Our regiment will be primarily based around Stromgarde, and will provide a new locale/roleplay hub for military RP in the north. Though Stromgarde does switch hands regularly on an OOC basis, there’s a spacious walled off part of the city I plan to use as such a HUB. As well as using it as our base of operations, we hope to encourage people to use the location more frequently for regular roleplay. After all, a newly rebuilt Alliance nation is a prime opportunity for such. If interested, please contact me in-game to learn more!
While I think it’s cool to role play in the new Arathi zone and only encourage Alliance guilds to RP in Lordaeron (If they don’t bubble up . . . ), you should consider changing the guild name to something that doesn’t hint at the guild being a stromic resistance group if the guild lore isn’t tied to Stromgarde at all
I wish you the best of luck, Laenyra. We can always use more allies spread out throughout the North.
Also, i must agree with Morsteth on his statement. The current name of the guild can be misleading, making people think its a Stromic guild, only for them to find out its led by a Night elf and accepts everyone and every class. Knowing some of the Northern guilds, which would never accept a DK or a DH among their rank, you may have issues happening, just because of the guilds name.
As Morsteth stated, perhaps finding a name that does not hint to a Stromic resistance group would be a wise course of action.
I mean, is it really that much of a stretch for a Night Elf to go fight in regions where the Forsaken resistance remains a thorn in the Alliance’s side? It’s unconventional by this server’s tradition, sure, but that in itself is a worthless argument.
None of us is saying its a stretch. What we are saying is that the name of the unit draws conclusions that its a Stromic resistance group, and not an Alliance combat unit. THAT may cause issues, not the fact that an elf is leading the unit.
