[A-RP] Order of the Kraken

“Nearly two years ago the Tidesages and the followers of the Tidemother fell under a dark influence. Lord Stormsong was slain by adventurers as a result and the Storm’s Wake began work on restoring our path. Even now there is much work to be done and thus, with the Alliance and the Proudmoore Admiralty, we have decided to form an off branch as a new Order- the Order of the Kraken…” The Tidesage looked across the room with a brief pause in his statement. The room consisted of Officers, from both the Admiralty, Storm’s Wake and the Alliance. they all watched and inclined their heads along until the Proudmoore Officer raised his voice softly. “If we had the resources and manpower to form this new order of ours, who will lead it, and how do we know we will not get another Lord Stormsong or some other abuser of power? I’m, after all, sure there are some in this room who have personal intentions in use for this order?” The room remained silent until the Tidesage replied with a thoughtful look “The Council has had meetings and discussions on this issue and we’ve come up with a Candidate- A Tidespeaker, Brother Lorcan Murphy. He has been loyal to the Tidemother for almost all of his life and a valuable member of the Storm’s Wake. A Tidesage, choosing a Tidesage shows our support to the faith and doing our job without being in a stance of bias.”
The room broke its silence straight after where the majority of the room acted in agreement. The Tidesage pushed a scroll with the documents of the order’s approval, each officer passed it one by one with each one passing on a inked signature until it reached an Admiralty Captain, Aengus O’Connor. He looked upon the scroll slowly and with his left hand he took the inked quill, Slowly with carefully he shakingly signed his name at the bottom. “Captain O’Connor, please inform the other Commodores of this business and please deliver this to Sagehold.” the Tidesage requested gently as Aengus nodded and slowly got up to salute with his right arm. “Right away…” He spoke as he rolled up the scroll and turned to leave.
Hastily the Captain rode his Stallion, going across the patrol boarder and in to Stormsong. A few days at most would pass as he arrived in Sagehold- a place once infested by the K’thir and the corrupt Lord Stormsong- now a place of peace and repair. O’Connor slowly arrived to the side stables, climbing off he turned to hastily enter the settlement in order to ask a local “Is a Brother Murphy here?” the local nodded and pointed to a library. O’connor replied with a thankful nod and turned around to head to the building. Along the way he noticed plenty of blacksmiths at work crafting and forging armour, weapons and tools with the Tidesages also blessing them and they placed prayers. Aengus took note of this and arrived in the building to find one Tidesage alone, sitting and reading while holding his staff up right. “Brother Murphy?” he called out in the echoing room, the Tidesage turned his head with his upper face covered by the long hood “That is I, what can I do for you?” the Tidesage shuffled around on his seat to offer a brief but friendly smile. Aengus bowed and stepped closer to hand him the scroll “From the Proudmoore Admiralty and the Council and the Alliance, they have invited and offer you to lead and start the new order, The Order of the Kraken. You will be supplied and given manpower transferred from the other groups to help aid you. Do you accept?” an eerily long pause was given from Brother Murphy as he read the scroll and gently rubbed his greyed beard; he looked up “Give me some time to pray and consult with the Tidemother…” kindly the Captain replied with a nod and stepped back. Brother Murphy grabbed his staff and got up, shutting the book and gently taking it with him.
Murphy walked across to the Hold’s shrine, he found it empty with a pond and a kraken totem. He rested his staff on the ground and went on to his knees with his hands joined together. He prayed and muttered to the Tidemother. The praying went on for some time as Aengus waits outside. After a while Aengus looked up in surprise seeing the Tidesage. Murphy smiled and lifted up his hand to offer a handshake. With confusion Aengus nonetheless shook his hand in reply as Murphy broke the silence with a reply “Well then…we have much work to do.”

OOC:

Hello everyone, thank you for showing interest for this new guild thread and advertising. The Order of the Kraken is a new military guild. Who are we Our RP as a guild is based around the Tidemother belief while being a off branch order mix along with the Proudmoore Admiralty, the Storm wake and the Alliance while having a religious aspect to it, we however won’t be a heavy Zealot guild. This doesn’t mean we are all military and no fun, no. We love to create and engage in social rp, we are very open minded and love to help out if someone is having trouble developing one’s character. We will be aiming to create creative, expandable and engaging story lines for our events with a simple roll and event system. Our goal is to protect Kul Tiras, the faith and serve the Alliance.

Ranks:

Tide Councillor: Brother Lorcan Murphy is the head of the Order’s council which runs it, being the voice and the leader, he guides us through the hard battles of Kul Tiras and beyond, making sure himself and the order remain loyal to the Tidemother and the Alliance.

Council: The rank Council is the highest rank of officers, they are Lorcan’s most trusted advisors who help keep the order intact and in shape. He or she is the voice of the higher echelon. If the Tide councilor is not around the person of this rank is allowed to take command of the order. They also oversee training and the administration of the order. Each council member will have a unique title such as “Tide Lieutenant” or “Tide Captain”.

Tideguard: Tideguards are the most devoted protectors of the order, even outside of the order they serve to protect the Tidesage, their faith and the Storm wake. With a unique set for the Order they are the highest rank you can ascend before becoming a member of the council.

Tide Acolyte: The rank Acolyte is a novice magical branch, Tidesages, mage and priests who have proven to be a trusted member and have gone through the official joining and ceremony. While being expert in their areas, they can also continue to be trained by the Council or other members to improve. They are also required to join normal training to be able to defend themselves.

Tide Conscript: Tide Conscripts are known to be the enlisted footmen on the ground and sailors on the ships. They are the first ones on the battlefield on the ground. While also trained to be able to ready the ships cannons in case of an ambush during a deployment by sea. They are skilled fighters able to use close non magical skills and weaponry. In other words they are the melee force of the Order.

Initiate: They are the recruits that are new to the Order with some experience but they have yet to show their worth within the Order. They will need to improve and attend a few events before showing their value and ascend into the two pathways with the Conscript section or the magical branch. Cadet: There will be a few people who have no training or experience at all, the Cadet is a unique rank that shows they are in need of proper training before they could even go in to being Initiates, the Cadets’ training will be supported by the Alliance and Admiralty tools, members and training grounds.

Associates: There will be some people who are willing to serve Kul Tiras and the Tidemother but would desire to do so without any of these roles. Associate ranks are friends of the orders, ambassadors or suppliers of profession such as blacksmith or leatherworking or Privateers. They do not have any voice compared to all the other ranks but they are welcomed among the Order at all times, they are not required to wear uniform but purely based on their role.

Races allowed IC:
Humans
Worgens
Dwarves
Gnomes
High Elves (Void Elf OOC Model)

Most classes will be welcomed, some will not such as Death Knights due to lore reasons. The allied races of the listed above are welcomed to also join as long as they fit IC! We have chosen these races due to being a Kul Tiran themed guild which it would not fit with the lore and location. We do have a uniform system based on your ranks and role! If you are still interested in joining the guild, you are free to contact us, even if you have any questions to ask. By contacting Tidespeak or Loafers ingame or Tidespeak#8610 and Duckling#3407 on Discord!

Once again thank you for reading, I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Looks at Zandalari shrines. “This idol worship may not grant you true power, only the Tidemother can!”

It’s a great initiative to have a KT guild around that’s centered more around the aspect of faith. Hey everyone, check these guys out!

Looking forward to interactions between our two guilds, there’s some interesting parallels here to be explored.
