Greetings, fair traveller.

For years, nobility, high-ranking officials, self-proclaimed queens, and everything in between have had their status tarnished, through a combination of numerous factors, many too varied to get into. Councils, unions, parties, rebellions equally so. Years of bad fame that can never be undone. For those who are unyielding in their ways that politic-related Roleplay can never be done correctly, then I can definitively tell you that this project is not for you.

For those that are open to the suggestion, willing to provide constructive feedback, and perhaps partake in this endeavour, then this project is for you. This project is by no means set in metal, and will have to be constantly evolving in order to correctly response to feedback, the scene, and the server as a whole.

In whichever camp you are in, I implore you to read on. Engage with the project, be it in negative or positive. All feedback is important, as this is not taking place in a bubble.


In oh-so many words, the fundamentals of this endeavour is simple. I aim to provide a fair, unbiased OOC environment for a roleplay political scene to manifest, to which everyone is welcome. This place (A discord server, due to its ease of use/access) can be used to allow people to easily contact others, to provide a place to easily attain access to the scene, and receive news on the developments of the scene. Additionally, with everyone at the same place, planning and sharing ideas for the future will be made significantly easier. This and numerous, undiscovered methods can be employed.

For clarification, this project is not for a single council, a single union, a single guild, or any such specifications. The aim here is to provide an environment where many such factions can exist and cooperate together to create a vibrant, ever-changing political scene.

While my personal focus will be on the House of Nobles within the Kingdom of Stormwind, everyone of nobility or political can find ground to stand on. Bandits can find wealthy aristocrats to steal from. Spies can find documents to steal, and perhaps sell. Ambassadors can find other such ambassadors to engage in diplomatic treaties. Noble houses can form alliances to create a powerful force on any field they wish to contest. There exist numerous possibilities, as its only limited to your imagination.

However, with a lot of people in the same place with different views, clashes will undoubtedly happen. While it is to be expected that drama will flare up to some degree, I will wholeheartedly state that I expect people to be able to coexist together. In-Character conflicts are fine, as long as those do not bleed into the project, as OOC drama is expected to be left at the door. I do fully realise that we are all human, mistakes will be made, people will have an off-day. I will always lean towards forgiving rather than condemning. However, should you be unable to coexist with others, you will be removed.

Speaking from the perspective of someone whose political RP mainly existed in a blood elven context back in the day, not all such arrangements have fallen into disgrace or perished due to drama. The Conclave of Quel’Thalas is in my opinion how it’s done right - to the extent one can reasonably expect from this platform of a game.

So there’s hope. And I wish you the best with this undertaking; it would be heartening to see something successful arise from especially the Alliance side of things.

IRL circumstance killed it in its infancy as I recall. A shame, but such is life.

Thank you! I had entirely forgotten the Conclave, though in my defense, I’ve been blue since I started in Vanilla. But yes! Research material! I would honestly love to have someone who partook in the thing speak to me about how it worked, function, was organized, and all that!

You should rather join the discord! As that will be the first place I, or someone else, might announce things! The second place would be the forums.

While the Discord server is catering to politics and noble RP’ers, its incredibly valuable to have voices from people who aren’t in the scene, purely so we don’t create a bubble, or a yes-man circle, which would be incredibly bad. So yes, if you or anyone else wants to have influence in the proceedings, despite the character you RP as, feel free to join. Every voice counts!

Died, unfortunately.

OP needs to keep in mind that these sort of projects require -a lot- of time, patience and effort. You need to become known and also earn the respect of the community to get anything done. No one likes getting bossed around by people they have never heard of.

I will join the project, regardless, as I have a jobless political advisor at the moment! :slight_smile:

Yeah, I realise. Which is partially why I wanted to do this at the end of the expansion, then I wouldn’t have to worry about any main-game-plot derailing things too much. Also why I’m first doing this OOC’ly as a start, so that people can, well, get to know me! I want to let people see if I’m worthy for this or not. If not, then this will die long before any IC initiative takes place, which keeps things solid, RP-Wise.

Granted, most people most likely wouldn’t sub again until 9.0 comes out, but I’m more than happy trying to establish things in the downtime between expansions. Besides, there is vast potential for story and plot until 9.0 with this project. So we’ll see what comes out of it!
