Boltick arrives in Dun Morogh by gryphon shortly before dawn. He traipses through the region’s knee-high snow until he comes across the winding track to his handler’s cottage.
A surly, grey-haired gnome works away further up the track, beating back the snow with a shovel.
The gnome’s surly expression fades on recognising Boltick’s approach. The pair cheerfully embrace before heading inside.
Boltick spends some time complaining about the structural damage to his X-51 rocket over warm milk and pickled fangtooth. He then sets about writing his report.
“I rendezvoused south east from the crater with the exfiltration team. I tasked their engineer with repairing my vehicle, which had suffered structural damage following an encounter with a wayward pigeon.
I then travelled on foot to the crater, with the area’s grass foliage and tree lines provided excellent cover.
On nearing the San’layn’s ritual site, I sighted twelve skeletons acting as perimeter guards. Their movements were laboured and predictable – I was able to bypass them unnoticed.
I discovered a blight barrel within the ritual encampment. Using my cunning, wit, and stagecraft, I was able to convincingly impersonate a leper gnome to reposition the blight barrel several degrees closer to the target. My disguise was challenged by a tediously curious and extremely pompous elf, but thankfully I was able to convince him that the person standing with a large blight barrel in front of his face was a leper gnome deserving of no further investigation.
I set the barrel down behind the San’layn and her assisting summoners. A well-placed copper bomb was enough to detonate the barrel, causing the death of the summoners and several incompetent guardsmen.
I was pursued into the woodlands where I was able to escape to the exfiltration team, who did woefully little to repair my rocket. Regardless, I consider the mission a success.
