Briefly about us.
1st Special Forces Group, colloquially known as the Special Services Bureau, is a special operations force of the Alliance Military that is designed to deploy and execute unconventional warfare in all forms and mediums to secure the Alliance’s interests and victory in all conflicts; covert or otherwise. Encompassing operational abilities in all military branches, its operators are often deployed to work in the most dangerous and critical positions either with their own detachment or attached to other groups.
The scope.
Directly bound to Special Operations Command in Alliance’s High Command, agendas differ from those of SI:7 units and the conventional military forces. Highly entangled in the regional dynamics and geopolitics during any overseas operations, the 1st SFG operators emphasize language, cultural, and training skills in working with foreign troops beyond their direct action and technical skills. 1st SFG acts as a support group to primary law enforcement officials in domestic matters, providing expertise, resources, or firepower however it’s needed.
Special Forces personnel qualify in advanced military and technical skills as well as the regional languages and cultures of defined parts of the world. While they are best known for their unconventional warfare capabilities, they also undertake other missions that include advisory and instructional roles. SF team members work closely together and might rely on one another under isolated circumstances for long periods of time, both during extended deployments and in garrison. Because of this, they develop clannish relationships and long-standing personal ties.
Short history.
Special Forces traces its roots to the Army and Intelligence emergency response task forces. Those were the temporary groups green-lit in the darkest times of need, their creation and personnel classified, their methods often unsanctioned. Evolving nature of the warfare, hostiles, and methodology demanded a unified and permanent force trained and armed at the tip of the spear. With the support and trust of High Command, the first joint-branches Special Forces Group was formed by two decorated commandos, setting the precedence in Alliance’s special warfare capabilities. The group active for over three years, and expanded its operations, arsenal, and reach exponentially while maintaining a small and select core team.
