[A-RP] The Greycliff Initiative - 16/03-24/03

<Posters have been sent out to Stormwind, Ironforge, even as far as the Exodar, as well as poster around Boralus and wider Kul Tiras.>

"Citizens of the Alliance, greetings! I am Brinley Greycliff, assistant administrator for reconstruction efforts on Kul Tiras.

The people of the Kul Tiras have endured much suffering in recent months. The Ashvane mutiny, the Stormsong betrayal, the Siege of Boralus and subsequent attacks by the Horde have all caused significant damage, from which we are still recovering.

Now, we must rebuild once more that which has been damaged or destroyed. Even now, recovery efforts are underway, providing homes, food, medicine and sanitation to those in need. Repairs to critical infrastructure will restore amenities, allowing communities and business to thrive once again.

It is a daunting task to restore the myriad places that have been devastated by Ashvane’s lackeys and the traitor Tidesages. In keeping a functional government and protecting ourselves against further attack, our civilian agencies and military branches are both stretched to their limits.

We must begin with our capital – Boralus – the very heart of the Islands. What military and civic personnel that can be spared toil night and day to repair the damage from the siege. Citizens, I seek your help in this matter; the restoration effort is in need of volunteers to aid the project.

If you are able and willing, seek out the Marines billeted to the KTS Tide’s Virtue, recently returned to Boralus. They are leading the latest effort to restore some sense of normality to our capital.

All reconstruction efforts are being coordinated from my office in the Boralus. I implore you to reach out and offer what aid you can. No special qualifications are needed, just a willing heart and a desire to aid your fellow citizen.

Only together can Kul Tiras be restored to what it should be; a bastion of trade and shipping, aiding the Alliance to a better tomorrow."

Hello Argent Dawn!

The Greycliff Initiative is an open roleplay event series created by the Kul Tiran Marines. This event series is open to any and all interested roleplayers, and focuses on the ongoing reconstruction efforts taking place in Boralus. This event is inclusive, and so characters can drop in and out as they desire without obligations or commitments to a larger plot.

The Greycliff Initiative is intended to support the idea of open roleplay that isn’t just lounging in a tavern or talking in the street, as well as being part of a larger recruitment drive for the Marines. Players will have the chance to roleplay alongside our characters, enjoy a shared experience and get a sense of our style of roleplay. However, for players and guilds simply seeking quality roleplay, fear not! Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate; there’s no obligation to apply or sign up to the Marines. Please note, this won’t be overly structured or linear. You, your team or you guild will be given a seed for something to do around the city, and then you may do what you want with it, be it repairing a harbour crane, or searching Ashvane company offices for anything of interest. There could be combat involved, or maybe your task goes without a hitch. You decide.

Participating characters will work together to solve a variety of issues facing the reconstruction efforts in the capital, both great and small. You can look forward to expeditions into Boralus Harbour to repair utilities and infrastructure, supply runs, salvage and cleanup operations, and interventions against criminal syndicates and other factions seeking to disrupt the reconstruction efforts.

The Greycliff Initiative begins on Saturday 16th March, and will run until Sunday 24th March. Individual events will generally run from 20:00 GMT until 23:00 GMT unless otherwise noted, and additional information will be posted for each event.

While we welcome all comers, I do realise some groups may be quite large, and may need to be split into several teams so as to be better able to react to each other.

For those interested in joining in, you can find us at the barracks in Boralus.

Is there a Greencliff Initiative as well?

Good luck, though! ^^

Mutually exclusive

We’re very much looking forward to this - alongside our Festival of the Tides, this will be a great opportunity to bring more people to Kul Tiras and support more roleplay in Boralus!

A fine time to make a Kul Tiran civilian who can help out around the place.

And then join the Marines.

Not that we planned on that…

We Kul Tirans stand united, the Tideforged Corsairs are signing up to take part in this wonderful initiative!

Hopefully we’ll have some of the more civilian-esque Stormwind-centric guilds pop over for some fun.

And it’s always nice to have a bit of Daring Spirit about the place.

Brinley Greycliff looked out of his office window, the rain bouncing off the roads below, the statue of Lord Admiral Daelin looked as if he were standing atop a roaring ocean as the water in the pond was thrown up into the air around its base. The wind was being funneled through the mountains to the north and south, battering Boralus with heavy rain and a frigid cold swept down from the glaciers in the Sound that made every window in the city rattle. Greycliff sighed and returned to his desk, littered with letters, orders and requests from everyone from citizen to soldiery, asking his branch of the Kul Tiran government to aid in reconstruction and recovery efforts all over the city.

He had decided to ask the Alliance for aid. Not in an official capacity, from one nation to the others, but as a personal request to the people of the mainland. And while he had not had many replies, he still hoped that the next day would see an influx of assistance from the mainland.

He glanced at the window again.

Weather permitting.

The initiative continues on the 20th, and we’re very much looking forward to finding more horrifying sights and repairing things.
