Time to reclaim my Boulder Tossing champion title!
I’m looking forward to participate again! See you there.
After spitting competition a war of Three Hammers and One Spanner will start.
Just bumping the thread.
All the excitment, soon sooooon!
Yeah. Let’s get hyper fellow Dwarves. Finally two days dedicated to the master race of the Warcraft universe.
Ohhh yeaaa, this gonna be good!!!
Soon time to chug ale and punch Bronzies into the dirt.
I hope you’re ready, folks! Galvrin is hard at work trying to clean the roads and fields for your game pleasure. Not too easy a job with travellers constantly ruINING MY DAISIES!
They may take your daisies, lad, but you will be the one picking them out of the dirt like flowers at the games.
Bumping to bring the love to this event. If you are a dwarf, gnome, or anyone appreciating a fun time, you should come and have a look around! Just don’t mention the smell, that’s the Wildhammers.
Sorry, lad. Can’t hear you from under the rocks. Next time maybe don’t make your home inside a hole in the ground.
The Highland Games
Light Schedule:
We’re now closing in on the date, with under two weeks to go! Below you’ll find a scheduling for the two days, can’t wait to see you all there!
Friday 24th July
19:00 - 19:40: Introductions! Thane Stormheart will host a large welcoming within the courtyard of Kirthaven, taking you all through a few house rules as well as lodgings and catering. It’s here we’ll meet and greet and divide into our teams for the next two days!
19:40 - 23:00: Without offering too much time dedication, but able to fit in all the desired games for the evening - our first night will consist of the following:
Important: The rules of each game are explained in each drop-down section (These rules will also be revisited on the night, so don’t worry!).
The Boulder Toss!
A game that’ll test your arm and your might! It doesn’t take long to understand, but a fair while to master; though we Wildhammer have never been all too keen on technique.
Each team will choose -FIVE- participants for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] This game will be played with a D10 rolling system.
[Rule 2:] There will be three rolling scenarios that will determine your final score (Distance).
[Rule 3:] You’ll firstly roll D10 three times, for your grip on the boulder, Example: Grahda rolls 6/10 so he’ll have a slightly good grip on the rock. Secondly, you’ll roll for your run up before the throw. Example: Grahda rolls 2/10 so he’d have a poor run up. Finally you’ll roll for your throw. Example: Grahda rolls a 10/10 so he’d give full power behind his throw.
[Rule 4:] Now the host will add up your score and that’ll be your distance in strides. Example: Grahda scored a total 18 - so his rock was hurled 18 strides.Tug o' War!
That’s right, we’re to work as a team in this one! Show off your prowess alongside your kin and hold fast - stoic and un-moving to your opponents’ struggle! Grasp hold of the large double-knotted rope, align the ‘centre’ with a marker-stone. Upon the word “Go!” you’ll pull like you’re trying to steal a wagon of ale!
Each team will choose -FIVE- participants for this game, team-mates can be swapped around after each round.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] This game will be played with a D20 rolling system.
[Rule 2:] You’ll be played off against your opposite in line, for example; the first person on the rope rolls against the opposite team’s first person. There will be a tally on how many 1v1 roll wins your team collects! Highest roller wins, of course.
[Rule 3:] Should your team gain more 1v1 wins than the other team in total, you’ll win that round and pull the other team closer to the central marker.
[Rule 4:] Your team must win a total of -THREE- rounds to successfully pull the enemy team over the middle line.
[Rule 5:] If both teams get the same total score, it’ll remain a tie for that round and the rope gets pressed for -1HP!
Note: The rope has 5HP, should the teams score even 5 times over all the games then it’ll snap from the strain!Chug or Chunder!
Taken from the head of ‘Thumper’, Thundermar’s infamous and temperamental ram. He boasted a staggering sized set of horns! Upon his death, the townsfolk claimed them for trophy and placed them upon a plaque - until Rekkr Stormheart snagged one. Believing it fitting that the boisterous beast was honoured in a more rowdy way. Filling it up with an absurd amount of ale of course! Seeing if anyone has the stones to see it all off in one go - or chunder trying! To this day, it’s been a challenging feat to finish Thumper’s Horn!
Each team will choose -THREE- participants for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] This game will be played with a D20 rolling system.
{Rule 2:] You’ll have a total of 4HP known as ‘Chunder Points’. Upon reaching 0HP, you’ll be spewing up the beverage.
[Rule 3] You’ll be rolling against the host, who’ll be ‘the target roll’. Example: Grahda is the one chugging, Galvrin is the one rolling OOC for his ‘target roll’. Grahda MUST roll between the two rolls of Galvrin to surpass the ‘round’. Galvrin rolls 10 and 15, Grahda rolls 11 so he’ll complete that round without a HP loss. Should Galvrin roll 15 and 15 for example, then Grahda must also roll 15 or loose, it’s just tough luck.
[Rule 4:] You’ll have to beat the ‘target roll’ every half a litre.
Example: There will be 10 rounds in total for 5 litre worth of beverage inside Thumper’s Horn.
[Rule 5:] If you don’t manage to finish the chug, aside from puking you’ll have to tip the rest of the puke / beverage mixture over your head. If you finish the chug, congratulations! You’ll be very drunk.Spitting!
A crude tavern game invented by Thane Grahda Stormheart. It entails two challengers to go at it with their gutter-trash talk in the hopes of being the quickest and most creative in insulting the other. The winner is decided by the crowd.
Each team will choose -ONE- participant for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] You’re not allowed to repeat the same insult TWICE, doing so results in losing.
[Rule 2:] If you take way too long in replying, or simply change topic from the game will result in losing the same can be said for long and unanswered DC’s.
[Rule 3:] If your character gets upset with the insults IC, you’re free to punch your opponent. However you’ll forfeit and lose. (Though you may win the fight!)
[Rule 4:] You will go as many rounds as the host deems needed, ending with a last chance for both participants.
[Rule 5:] It’s ultimately down to the CROWD vote, who will win. Yay or Nay?
[Rule 6:] Remember to keep it slap-stick, this is a PG 12 game after all. I’m looking to see creativity and humour within the WoW setting! No IRL swearing or vulgar words please!23:00: Onwards, the scored games for the evening have officially ended and the rest of the night will be held for merriment, stories and boasting from the days activities.
Current scores and placement will also be presented to the teams.

Saturday 25th July
19:00 - 19:30: We’ll gather up once more, awaiting all the teams to be present and ready to continue!
19:30 - 23:00: The games continue! Much like the previous night, time dedication is relaxed - though we’ve enough time to cover all the last games of the weekend!
Important : The rules of each game are explained in each drop-down section (These rules will also be revisited on the night, so don’t worry!).
The Great Barrel Ride!
As dangerous as it sounds! In days of old each person would’ve finished off their -own- keg, upon doing so they’ll be granted the right to participate! However, the youth of today aren’t as hardy! Each person to participate will await at the top of the chosen hill, slope (or mountain). Upon the word “Go!” they’ll all mount their barrels and race to the bottom. Well, that’s the idea anyway.
Each team will choose -FIVE- participants for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] This game will be played with a D20 rolling system.
[Rule 2:] Each participant will have 2HP, this will act as their balance meter.
[Rule 3:] Four markers will be placed down the hill, in which the last marker should be at the bottom. (Raid Markers)
[Rule 4:] It’ll start with a “Go!” and you’ll emote starting off, standing atop your barrel and heading down the hill.
[Rule 5:] You’ll reach your first marker and you’ll need to roll higher than 7. Succeed and you’re free to emote keeping balance! Fail and it’s -1HP and you’ll emote losing balance. This process will continue upon each marker you reach, the second you’ll need a higher roll than 13 and the third you’ll need a roll of 17.
[Rule 6:] If between the first -three- markers you’ve lost 2HP. You’ll emote falling from your barrel - ouch!
[Rule 7:] If by miracle you’ve survived until the fourth marker, you’ve made it and can freely emote dismounting in any way you see fit.Wrestling!
This one isn’t too hard to grasp! You’ll face off against your opponent, grappling and pinning the other into submission! These are displays of physical strength, not all-out brawls!
Each team will choose -THREE- participants for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] Firstly, each combatant will choose their fighting style from the list below, each with their own HP and perks:Strong
HP: 18
Rolling System: D15
Damage: 7HP
Perks: Can break through DEFENSIVE blocking perk, if rolled higher. Can absorb first lost roll against AGILE.Agile

Damage: 6HP - 10HP (Enraged)
Perks: Upon reaching 5HP or lower, you’ll be enraged and deal extreme damage.[Rule 2:] Standard rolling / emoting fighting with added perks, upon your opponent reaching 0HP they are downed.
Ram's Head!
Two Dwarves are pitted against each other in a classic game of “Ramshead”! A travelling Bronzebeard named Hubran Ramshead once trundled up through our beloved Highlands, bringing with him many kegs of ale from the great breweries of Ironforge. But that wasn’t all, for he introduced the Wildhammers to a game they’ll not soon forget! A game blessed by the traveller and thus named accordingly.
It entails two Dwarves to face off against each other, putting their hands upon the others shoulders at an arm’s length. At the count-down, they rather spectacularly smash their foreheads into the others in hopes to send them promptly to the ground! A rather sophisticated game from the great halls of our cousins.
To be put in its purest form; collide your heads until someone collapses to the floor!
Each team will choose -THREE- participants for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] This game will be played with a D10 rolling system.
[Rule 2:] Both participants have 3HP each.
[Rule 3:] Every time both Dwarves roll, the highest wins that round.
Rule 4:] Rolling a 10 will instantly down your opponent, regardless of their current HP.
[Rule 5:] Beware, for rolling a 1 for yourself will hurt YOU instead, increasing the loss to -2HP.
[Rule 6:] Should you by chance roll the same number? You’ll BOTH lose -1HP. Upon the rare account both rolling 10, they’ll floor each other instantly.Pink Belly!
A game shared throughout the Wildhammer Clan to test your hide and brawn. With this game, each Dwarf will fill up a mug of their chosen mead or ale, the first Dwarf will place the filled mug on top of his head until balanced. He’ll then welcome a -punch- to his stomach from the rest of the Dwarves involved. Not wanting to lurch or shift too much else he’ll spill the mug atop his noggin’. The aim of “glory” is to be able to take the most punches until the mug falls. Once failed the next Dwarf shall place his mug atop his head and so on, so forth.
Each team will choose -ONE- participant for this game.
[RULES:]
[Rule 1:] This game will be played with a D100 rolling system.
[Rule 2:] Each person will have 3HP.
[Rule 3:] The first person with a mug on their head will take a punch from each other opponent, it’s a simple case of whoever rolls the highest. Attack/Defense rolls.
[Rule 4:] You keep taking it in turns punching until the person with the mug on their head drops it, having reached 0HP.
[Rule 5:] Should anyone roll a 95+ when striking someone, it’ll be strong enough to topple their mug regardless of their current HP.Example: Grahda wears the mug atop his head. Galvrin punches him. Grahda 78 - Galvrin 43. So Grahda would emote taking the hit like a champ. And if two other people are involved. It’d be their turn next as they’d go around in a circle until Grahda is taken from 3HP, to 0HP thus dropping the mug.
Victor is the one with the most punches taken.
23:00: The winning team of the Highland Games will be announced! People may stay for the merriment and festivities to follow, long into the night!
