Abyssal Sands is concluded!
The Lionheart arrived in time to repel the silithid swarm from the walls of Orsis, before settling in for a days-long siege. Throughout the siege, the allied forces were further reinforced by adventurers, a regiment from Stormwind and anubisath awakened by the tol’vir.
With the silithid repelled from Uldum, the Lionheart struck out into Ahn’Qiraj proper to deal with their leader, a qiraji prophet calling himself the new Emperor. Within the dead city, they were met by the Horde warband that was first to arrive to aid the tol’vir, their corpses puppeted by the forces of the Void in mockery of their defiance.
After putting the warband to rest, the Lionheart finally found the Emperor attempting some sort of ritual to call out to the Great Dark Beyond for a new patron. However, they were able to disrupt the ritual and then kill the Emperor-without-an-empire.
They made sure to recover the bodies of the fallen Horde soldiers before departing the ruined city, and they are to be returned to Orgrimmar for a proper send-off as a gesture of detente and respect for their sacrifice.
