[A-RP] The Rise of the Thieves Guild! (Inquiry, kinda?)

Hello everyone! First post time! :laughing:

To make it simple … I have been toying around with the idea of creating something akin the Thieves Guild from the Elder Scrolls series within AD RP. It’ll be centered on the Alliance side of things and while there are many thoughts on the project already, it is still in a very rough state. This is more an inquiry to see if people would be interested in interacting with a concept such as this. I fully intend to create a Guild centered around this.

A place for vagrants, thieves, outcasts and no-gooders. A safe haven for those that society didn’t want around. Where a poor soul looks out for another. Where the law might not be the holiest thing to follow, but with a moral code themselves - speaking about honour among thieves! Pickpocketing, stealing, all the activities in the embrace of the shadows. Sharing with your kin, working to create a better future for everyone involved.

So far this project project is only maintained and worked on by myself. I know this isn’t the most descriptive post as of yet, but as in the title (and stated before), it’s more an inquiry to see if there’s any interest. You can also easily reach me in-game too!

An interesting idea, if you ask me! Maybe it can be changed for a thieves network, rather it being Faction specific? :]

The first thought was to make it a neutral project for both sides to join in. However, that does limit the options to settle an HQ in. So far I thought of two possible locations to settle it in. One being the Brawlpub between Stormwind and Ironforge, the other being the Underbelly - which would work out perfectly for such a thing, but I’m also not too sure about this particular location.

Especially where things are heading too, without wanting to dive to deep into spoiler territory. Even though it can always be pretended to be somewhere else while using the location still. If you catch my drift!

There are lot of places to have so called “HQ”. As thieves and whatever, you might want to move but having some place to meet, do business, have meeting etc. etc. can always change per se

Booty Bay is a fantastic spot to run a Thieves operation out of. Goblin bruisers protecting your “Legitimate” business selling X or providing X services, and as long as you pay your tithe, nobody is going to look too closely at your records.

Besides, Booty Bay is far bigger than its portrayed in game, as is the whole game world really. You could even have a secret passage to a smuggler’s cove or something ICly!

That’s actually quite the nice idea tbh … Have a series of locations that change when needed. Rotating maybe, yet staying within the same network. I like that one!

As when it comes to Booty Bay … It’d be easy to use as it’s already common neutral ground as well. And with the idea of changing locations for operational outposts, having Booty Bay as the main base of operation … Could actually work nicely.

Of course it’d be a little annoying for your ordinary thief to commute back and forth between Booty Bay and a bigger city, but that’s the whole point. A safe haven to return to - and possible stash your bounty/lay low if something goes wrong.

( My God, I am terribly confused by this form. Bare with me and all my editing hahaha! )
