🕯️ THE VIGIL OF ETERNAL LIGHT 🕯️

Our people have endured much. Betrayal by our own people. Exile from our beloved Argus, our ancestral home reduced to ash and fel corruption. For ages beyond counting, we have drifted amongst the stars, refugees without a world to call our own, seeking sanctuary on planet after planet, only to watch the Legion’s green fire consume each haven we tried to build.
We fled through the Nether with children in our arms. We buried our loved ones on worlds whose names we can scarcely remember. We watched parents, siblings, friends, and strangers alike fall to demonic blades, succumb to corruption, or simply vanish into the void between worlds , lost forever to the endless flight.
The Legion was relentless. They pursued us not for conquest, but for annihilation. They sought to break our faith, corrupt our souls, and extinguish every last trace of our existence. Worlds fell before their advance. Entire generations were born in exile, knowing nothing but war and loss, carrying the grief of ancestors they would never know.
But we endured. We remained faithful. We never surrendered.
Now, after an eternity of suffering, the war is over. The Legion has fallen. Their crusade of destruction has ended. We stand victorious, but victory has never felt so heavy.
Because we do not forget. We cannot forget.
Every Draenei alive today carries the names of the dead in their hearts. Every family has been shattered. Every soul bears scars that may never heal. The price of our freedom was paid in the blood and tears of countless generations who dreamed of this day but never lived to see it.
We owe them remembrance. We owe them honour. We owe them our grief, our gratitude, and our promise that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Event Details:
This is an Alliance event aimed primarily at Draenei characters, but other alliance races are welcome to attend. Hopefully this is the first of a recurring, yearly event, to remember those who have fallen to the Burning Legion’s onslaught. Due to the nature of this event, Penitent Man’ari are not allowed to attend, as this would be in poor taste.

Faction: Alliance
Dress code: This is a ceremonial event, therefore a dress code will be mandatory. This means ceremonial garb, robes and the like. Weapons are forbidden!
OOC Details:
- We are using Shadowmoon Valley as a proxy for Azuremyst isle, please keep this in mind whilst attending this event.
- Those who wish to speak at this event, be it a prayer, a call to arms, or merely a story they wish to share, please prepare these upfront and contact me in the Draenei discord, or in-game!
- Part of the event is a pilgrimage, it is recommended that characters have unlocked one of the many torch toys or lantern offhand items.
- There may be sharding active in certain parts, so please whisper Hartuum for a raid invite.
- As this is an event to honour and remember the ones who have fallen at the hands of the Burning Legion, Penitent Man’ari are excluded from this event. The use or any expression of dark / evil magic, f.e: Fel, Void, Necromancy, so on, so forth is also forbidden.
- The reason for not allowing Penitent’s to attend is simple. They are former members of the Burning Legion and thus have blood on their hands. Whether they are repentant or not, their presence would not be welcome.
