[A-RP] Tideforged Warhawks - Oldest Privateer Guild on the Server

Tideforged Warhawks

“Sea to sea, storm to storm, tide to tide!”

Our guild concept is about a seafaring paramilitary outfit that operates from the Daring Spirit; a Kul Tiran frigate which acts as both transport and base of operations but more importantly to the crew - it’s home.

Originally founded during the Fourth War as an patriotic initiative to encourage Kul Tirans to join the war effort; these privateers roamed the Great Sea to support the Alliance by harassing the Horde’s supply lines and even “liberating” Azerite in order to supply it to the Alliance.

Yet as the war carried on, it took its toll as they fought one emerging threat after another. Facing cursed pirates and losing comrades to insidious machinations of the void. Their strength was spent; a lot of them went into retirement or found fortunes elsewhere in the wake of the Fourth War.

Years passed until the outfit would be revitalized but with the war over; they turned to the private sector through contractual work as seafaring mercenaries or as pirate hunters collecting bounties as a means to fund their operations and to keep their skills sharp for the day that another war looms.

On an IC basis; the guild got strong ties with the Proudmoore Admiralty
which is reflected in this Letter of Marque.

Recruitment

We are looking for members who share our enthusiasm for RP in the Warcraft setting and with respect for the lore. Preferably the character won’t be just another alt which will eventually fade away and gather dust on a shelf.

Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to decline anyone at our own discretion. Therefore characters who fit the following categories will not be considered for recruitment.

  • Death Knights
  • Demon Hunters
  • Darkfallen / Dark Ranger
  • Hallowfall Arathi
  • Man’ari / Eredar
  • Dragons

Immersion & Fun

We take pride in our sense of immersion and therefore the characters of prospecting members are required to sign an employment contract which they can read or just plain out sign at their own discretion. Same goes for our Code of Conduct which outlines the rules and regulations amongst the ranks of the Tideforged Warhawks.

Wherever we set sail on a voyage; it’s natural for us to assume that our members are sailing with us (unless they specify otherwise). However, it’s important to remember that immersion shouldn’t come at the expense of having fun. At the end of the day, this a hobby built on collaborative storytelling with character interactions and storylines.

Contact

Prospecting members are welcome to reach out to me in-game (Antiles) where I can answer any further questions you might have. This goes aswell for anyone that might want to collaborate with us for future storylines or events.

Rules

Our OOC rules are simple and straightforward.

  • Use common sense.
  • Adhere to lore to the best of your ability.
  • Know the distinction between a player (OOC) and their character (IC).
  • Don’t be a dick.

If you seek to experience the true life of a Kul’tiran Navy, this is the guild for you.
I look forward to stand against the Daring Spirit in battle!

Thank you kindly, I hope that your wolves can swim hehe :boom:

I wish the Baron Jaggerhawk nothing but the best, and swift winds to his sails!

My character will be indefinitely grateful for the help provided in securing the lead – and undertaking the voyage, too – which yielded the final fragment of the old Shadow Council artifact she sought.

A hunt, which was 2 years in the making, concluded with a nice island expedition. And I was very glad for the collaboration!

Maybe the next time the Night Wardens shall host the Daring Spirit’s crew on our own equally impressive Kaldorei frigate :sailboat: :desert_island:

This is probably a naive question, but what do privateers actually do in the absence of boats?

We bring maritime habits to land which is quintessentially connected to Kul Tiran culture.

That and we make rafts out of turtles with the hair from our backs.

Doom’s Way awaits…

The Tideforged Warhawks have now embarked on a new voyage that takes them across the Great Sea, bound by contract to aid the Alliance in their interests on the remote island of Doom’s Way, just off the coast of Desolace in Kalimdor. Meanwhile, the shadow of uncertainty looms over them as they are drawn into a treasure hunt of mysteries, hoping to uncover the secrets of the windswept coins, relics from a bygone era.

Golden coins on the sea-winds spin,
Anchor and crown both battered thin,

No sailor knows who cast them free,
Forever ride the winds of a withered sea.

Some say they point to a captain’s grave,
Or a treasure lost beneath the wave.

But follow them far, and you won’t return,
For the winds know secrets none can learn.

Adventure awaits those who dare, especially for us who will be participating in the RP-PvP Doom’s Way campaign during the latter part of July before we proceed with our guild storyline in earnest!
