Our guild concept is about a seafaring paramilitary outfit that operates from the Daring Spirit; a Kul Tiran frigate which acts as both transport and base of operations but more importantly to the crew - it’s home.
Originally founded during the Fourth War as an patriotic initiative to encourage Kul Tirans to join the war effort; these privateers roamed the Great Sea to support the Alliance by harassing the Horde’s supply lines and even “liberating” Azerite in order to supply it to the Alliance.
Yet as the war carried on, it took its toll as they fought one emerging threat after another. Facing cursed pirates and losing comrades to insidious machinations of the void. Their strength was spent; a lot of them went into retirement or found fortunes elsewhere in the wake of the Fourth War.
Years passed until the outfit would be revitalized but with the war over; they turned to the private sector through contractual work as seafaring mercenaries or as pirate hunters collecting bounties as a means to fund their operations and to keep their skills sharp for the day that another war looms.
Recruitment
We are looking for members who share our enthusiasm for RP in the Warcraft setting and with respect for the lore. Preferably the character won’t be just another alt which will eventually fade away and gather dust on a shelf.
Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to decline anyone at our own discretion. Therefore characters who fit the following categories will not be considered for recruitment.
- Death Knights
- Demon Hunters
- Darkfallen / Dark Ranger
- Hallowfall Arathi
- Man’ari / Eredar
- Dragons
Immersion & Fun
We take pride in our sense of immersion and therefore the characters of prospecting members are required to sign an employment contract which they can read or just plain out sign at their own discretion. Same goes for our code of conduct which outlines the rules and regulations amongst the ranks of the Tideforged Warhawks.
Wherever we set sail on a voyage; it’s natural for us to assume that our members are sailing with us (unless they specify otherwise). However, it’s important to remember that immersion shouldn’t come at the expense of having fun. At the end of the day, this a hobby built on collaborative storytelling with character interactions and storylines.
Contact
Prospecting members are welcome to reach out to me in-game (Antiles) where I can answer any further questions you might have. This goes aswell for anyone that might want to collaborate with us for future storylines or events.
Rules
Our OOC rules are simple and straightforward.
- Use common sense.
- Adhere to lore to the best of your ability.
- Know the distinction between a player (OOC) and their character (IC).
- Don’t be a dick.
