The Tournament of Strom's Legacy, to be held from Friday 14th to Wednesday 19th November!
The clarions sound and the criers make the calls across the realm, announcing that a new tournament is to be held in the city of Stromgarde, in celebration of the legacy of the kingdom and the histories of the old alliances, forged in battle and union! A series of games and challenges are to be hosted to bring glory and reputation to combatants, bolstering the roster of the many knights and adventurers who defend the Eastern kingdoms against threats, old and new, with swords or craft of their own.

The Main Events:
Jousting - The Clash of Champions:
Stromgarde has always retained a warrior-culture hailing from the days of the Arathorian Empire, where champions would ride out to challenge one another to both hone their skills and resolve disputes! Time and again, Stromgarde has raised and forged champions of the saddle and lance, yet who will be crowned the champion this time? It is by the clarion’s call that fourteen champions ride out into the lists and face off against one another to see who can carry the lance of the Accord!
Hosted by Sir Dante Treiller (Holydante)
16 slots available
Duelling - Thoradin’s Challenge:
The unification of the human tribes which later became the great Arathorian Empire can be attributed to the deeds of one man, King Thoradin, who unified the tribes under the sword and often, by one on one combat with the great chieftains of the lands, including the great forefather, Ignaeus Trollbane. Through Thoradin’s sword, he forged bonds and displayed great strength that is spoken of and emulated to this very day. This test is in his honour, to remember the great displays of courage and skill at arms that will dictate who is named the ‘Champion of the Blade’!
Hosted by Sir Dante Treiller (Holydante)
16 slots available
Melee - Battle of Alteraci Pass:
Stromgarde’s history has been crafted not only by the people of the kingdom, but the great battles that have happened across the highlands and beyond, history being shaped by the sword of the Stromic people and their deeds in great battles! On this occasion, the story to be told is that of Thoradin’s final battle against Jintha and the trolls, with two teams reenacting this conflict to see if history is retold or rewritten!
Hosted by Sir Aelric Bleakwood (Stromic)
30 slots available
Archery - Ranger’s duty:
It has always been the duty of the rangers of the Highlands to keep the lands safe, either be it from atop the wall or stalking through the Witherbark woodlands. Great battles have been won by a youngster’s arrow or hardened veteran’s aim, which is why it is important to remember the deeds of the marksmen, who keep the brave knights and gilded heroes safe.
Hosted by Lord Arnaud Treiller (Teuthras)
16 slots available
Secondary Events:
Drinking contest - Pact of Dwarf and Man:
In honour of the old pacts made between the men of the north and the dwarves of the mountain halls, a drinking contest will be held where all participants drink at once, going from very weak manmade alcoholic beverages and progressing through stronger and stronger drinks, finally facing off with the finest (and strongest) brews of the Dwarven Halls! Who will be left standing?
Hosted by Andrick Hopper (Distillery)
Strength contest - Trial of Trol’kalar:
In honour of Stromgarde’s most sacred blade, a trial of strength and endurance shall be held. Participants will be tasked with raising a great steel-forged replica of Trol’kalar, its weight hewn to test both body and spirit. They must first lift the weapon from its resting place and hold it high aloft, as if to rally an army - emulating Igneaus - enduring the strain of its heft and the burn of their own fatigue. A sword fit for a monarch. Only those with the might and will to bear the weight longest shall be deemed worthy of this storied trial.
Hosted by Margrave Lucien Helmond (Northerner)
Magic contest - Feats of the Conclave:
Shrouded in mystery and always broadening their knowledge, the conclave holds a challenge of the magical arts to test the cunning of magi, the power of sorcerers and the wisdom of seers. The bindings of this challenge are revealed when the time of the contest arrives.
Hosted by Keeper Haley of the Conclave (Piethyr)
Additional Activities:
Market and Stalls:
A number of Stalls will be available to be placed around the main event areas, with the armourers and blacksmiths being reserved places to host their stalls by the Jousting, Duelling and Melee areas. All other stalls will be requested to be held within the city limits unless permitted by the Tournie Herald, Sir Dante Treiller.
A dedicated market will also be held within the city on 16th, where all market stalls shall be held on the streets and around the fountain by the longhall.
(If you are interested in putting up a stall, do contact ‘Aitch.y’ on discord. Any other questions can also be directed to myself on discord or through in-game mail to Holydante-Argent Dawn)
Tavern stories:
It will come to no surprise that the tavern will be heavily stocked will ales, wines, spirits and other drinks from across the kingdoms to host the many guests expected to attend. Come and share a tale, enjoy an ale and let the tap flow without fail!
Feast of the Longhall:
Held in the longhall located next to the fountain, a host of cooked foods and great kegs of ale will be available for all contestants or spectators, to partake in and celebrate the drawing close of the tournament! This will be where the victors of the previous events will also receive their prizes! From the longhall, attendees will also be able to watch the final contest of magic!
