The Vestigium Arcana are an elite group of magic-users who came together to keep the most dangerous artefacts and knowledge out of the hands of those who would use it for ill-begotten purposes. They also work to hunt down and capture any creature, man or beast that poses a threat to the sanctity of magic.
We are first and foremost a military organisation although the majority of the Arcana are soldiers we do employ the use of scholars, seers and traditional mages as a considerable amount of time is spent in researching and categorising dangerous magical artefacts and people that we acquire.
Even though we are soldiers trained in the art of war, we are intellectuals first. This allows us to tailor advanced training to each and every one of our members, while focusing on training in the field when we can, because not everything can be learnt from a book.
About the Vestigium Arcana
Our Commander, Kordarus was born into the privilege of the Highborne, this allowed him to learn the ways of the Arcane in Zin’Azshari. As time passed he heard whispers about an underground movement against Queen Aszara, he would soon realise she was on the wrong side of history and fought with the Kaldorei rebels against his Queen at the time of the Sundering. He made it his goal to help put the world back together by tracking down dangerous magical users and artefacts. In time it became too much for just one person, this is where the Vestigium Arcana was formed.
The Arcana was born, a military band of ordinary mages trained in the art of war to protect. Even if his people had been banished from their homelands he still felt a duty to protect his people and his home. As time went on the troops evolved from a small band of newly trained mages fighting in the shadows to protect Kalimdor to battle-hardened warmages.
While trying to keep the peace within the Alliance Kingdoms war broke out once again with the Horde originally the Arcana had not planned on joining in the conflicts preferring to stay in Kalimdor to help out where they could but that all changed with the burning of the Night Elves sacred tree, Teldrassil.

What classes are Vestigium Arcana looking for?
Generally, we are looking for people who are spellcasters ICly (mages, seers, scholars, war mages, acolytes looking to become war mages etc)
Any class within reason* can join OCC if they are playing a mage ICly e.g. a paladin/warrior playing as a mage wearing plate.
(*Demon hunters probably wouldn’t work considering their appearance)
