(A-RP) Where's all the RP at?

Recently decided to start RP properly on Alliance, having almost nonstop played on Horde side, where can a lad find some RP spots in this neck of the hypothetical woods?

If you suggest Goldshire or Cathedral Square, no cheesecake for you.

You’ll find better luck in Lakeshire or Darkshire (beware it’s edgy there), I know that Northshire is also picking up with the Holy Order of Northshire and Bulwark of Virtue basing themselves there. But I think your best bet is scoping out some guilds on AA or on the Forums.

Anywhere aside from the lower half of the Eastern Kingdoms? It’s complete garbo.

Just roll Horde.

It entirely depends on what you’re looking for.

There’s obviously Duskwood, people are quick to stick there noses up - though to be frank, it’s active and something interesting is bound to go down. I’ve had some very memorable experiences go down in Duskwood.

Lakeshire, it’s been pretty uninteresting over the passed years except for the games of Redridge that spark life into it. As of nowadays it’s barely populated, and it doesn’t have a flourishing community like Duskwood does. You’re probably gonna find a few people hanging out in Redridge in the evenings, but nothing too interesting.

You’ve got Stormwind for some casual and social roleplay, though it’s not to my taste. The activity is what makes Stormwind rp thrive.

There’s also Kalimdor roleplay, which I hold a very limited knowledge over. Though I’ve seen casual rp occurring in Feralas and Darkshore, so if you’re interested in Elf orientated stuff. There’s your best choice.

Gilneas, actually surprisingly there’s a small amount of roleplay occurring there in he evenings thanks to the Nightfall Brigade and other guilds that inhabit the region, though it’s not super active and flourishing you’ll find some casual stuff potentially occurring at Keel Harbour.

In the Plaguelands there’s happenings aswell, Paladin roleplay and Scourge roleplay both taking place occasionally. You may find some stuff going on at Tyrs Hand in the evening.

Booty Bay, I’ve never been a Booty Bay rper but I know for a fact that if you enjoy pirates, bandits etc… this can be a really good fun place for many.

On the side note, I heavily recommend you take a look into the forums and Argent Archives for gatherings and server events. I’d also recommend potentially considering joining a guild stylised to your taste in rp.

So yeah those some rp hubs about, not too populated but enough people to have a good time. :smile:

If you do not enjoy hubs like Darkshire and Stormwind, I suggest you try to find a nice guild to join. Plenty of guilds are not based in SW. They either have their own rp hub or travel around the world of Azeroth. I prefer that a lot more, running into other roleplayers or guilds like that is even more fun.

I meant you had a Tavern full of crooks/pirates and more frequently there’s been trouble at the Tavern with fights among the crowd.

Which has been very fun for the RP there, I’ve been loving it so far.

Well, Arethorn has given a good and complete summary of many hubs :slight_smile: which doesn’t need anything to be added
Although i may also add Astranaar, which serves as a war camp and some guilds may be stationed there sometimes :slight_smile:

I suggest you to look for a guild first! You may say what kind of guild interests you, and people will suggest what you’re looking for!

As you’re a human paladin, i guess Sons of Uther, Arethorn’s own guild might be a good choice! I recommend you to try them put if you’re interested in Silver Hand RP

I cant speak for Darkshore but if you want elf RP its deffo at Feralas in the Feathermoon Stronghold, or in Ashenvale in Astranaar.

Looks at all my Horde characters “b-but…”

I’ll be playing Ddraig as a young, (17) plucky and slightly cocky lad who’s not really seen much of the world, having grown up in Kul Tiras’ countryside, so I’ll be travelling about to scope out places, hopefully meeting a few sound folk in the process :slight_smile:

You know I do have a forsaken DK that’s been abandoned for over 3 years, could have him as a former Alliance who died (Like the Alliance, allegedly) to join the Horde, Fourth wall break RP complete.

I agree, Its nice to see various great parts of Azeroth that don’t get visited often due to them not really being useful (having Transmog, auction House et cetera)

Good idea, Basically the sort of guild I would be interested is perhaps something that involves a lot of travelling, Ddraig will be a rather curious kid who’s seen almost nothing of the world outside of Kul Tiras. Military or civilian are fair game, Ddraigs not a terrible fighter, but isn’t a professional, with only rudimentary sword skills, should he join a military guild, He would need some instruction.

Perhaps, I wasn’t planning on playing him as a full fledged light worshipper, but I will definitely investigate that guild, I’m open to most ideas.

For guilds, i suggest you to look for Tideforged Corsairs, WEIRD Company, Crowsgarde and Companions guild (sorry if i miss any!)
All are good adventuring groups, which i guess are of traveling around type, perhaps fitting for your character :slight_smile:
Tideforged Corsairs are Kul tiran themed mostly, perhaps a good choice :smile:

Had a browse of your guild forum page, its actually a really nice idea that I would love to get involved in, Ddraig got picked up by the lovely folks over at the Crowsgarde, but my Druid is free and would be a good fit! I’ll contact you on him when I get the chance to!

That sounds great, if I find myself in Boralus I’ll keep that in mind for sure!

To give you a little idea of some less conventional RP… Try looking at Thundermar and Kirthaven every now and again :slight_smile:
Clan Stormheart for example is always willing to have some fun and games when we’re about in Kirthaven, longshanks are perfect victims for a good game of pink-belly!
