Whole issue with cancel cultures is a hot dumpster fire you got that right, but if you’ve been taken for money (RL consequences) it’s fair enough to apply some heat till you get refunded/issue resolved, just don’t go OTT.
Warning people about the scammer etc is fair game imo, just don’t doxx/bully and I see no real issue. No solution is perfect, but would you want to invite a known scam artist into your guild? Prob not, I would want to know if I was inviting for a guild.

Sadly it seems that the issue has been entirely missed by lots of people here, as expected, so I’ll address a few points.
- Mostly seems to be Horde players who haven’t seen the document, it was circulated around certain areas of Stormwind RP.
- For those questioning if the document exists, several people have confirmed on here that they have seen it.
- I’ve known the person in question for 2+ years, and was formerly their GM. We’re actually no longer on speaking terms for another reason, so I’m certainly not white-knighting or trying to justify their actions. If you re-read my post, you’ll see that I’ve stated that their actions were inexcusable. At no point have I promoted or defended what they have done.
- This is a person that I know very well. For those here that are educated in mental health, you’ll be aware of how fragile people who suffer from mental health can be. It has taken far less than documents like this in the past to drive people to the edge.
If you still can’t understand why creating a 17 page document about somebody is wrong, and potentially dangerous, then I’ll once again encourage you to educate yourself on the effects of cyber bullying, particularly on the young and vulnerable.
This makes about zero sense.

I have seen these forbidden 17 pages just today. Thing is OP, if you wouldnt have made this thread, the whole thing would have been forgotten and no one would remember what was this thing about.
Now you have elevated this issue from “stormwind rp circles” to a much wider audience. Congrats.

Mental health is something very serious and not really something to make light of at all, and I think many people on AD knows and understands this, and if the person is suffering from it, I do urge and recommend them to talk to someone as it can help miles.
That said though, it shouldn’t be used as an excuse to do to bad things, or as people are saying about this individual, straight up criminal activities. Even people with mental health are held accountable for their actions in some capacity.

So your point is that even though what they did is inexcusable, people shouldn´t know about it because that person is fragile due to mental health issues? We are talking about scamming people, not some RP drama. She took money from people for a product which she did not deliver and then tried to weasel out of returning the money.
If we think of the same document, then it´s the one that made her practices known to the public and was the reason why people got their real life money back.
Are you genuinely telling us that it would have been prefferable to allow a scammer to keep taking money from people just because the scammer is a fragile person and would suffer from having this truth revealed to the public?
