List of what the person has done, names of people who were scammed (it is made clear they agreed to have their names there), and a few anonymous accounts. Rest are screenshots that need no descriptions, they are telling of the whole situation on their own. There are about two screenshots per page, thats why the doc is 17 pages long. With some skill in photoshop, the whole thing can be shrunk to 4-5 pages.
It is by no means some Smearing propaganda that defames this person to the ground.

That either you and/or this person are trying to defend actual crimes commited by saying “I am mentally ill” and trying to get out of the consequences by playing the victim card.

Short edit: yes, you are actually responsible for your actions / this person is. No matter if you are mentally ill or not. Using that as an excuse is absolutely disgusting. Knowing you are mentally ill and still doing bad stuff and not getting help is an issue. Sort that person out.

I think, with what we know.
Not nice for people to hound her if she has stopped, but that doesn’t mean her actions are excusable, especially if it’s something that’s happened on top of other things she has done.
A lot of people were burned by her.
In the real world, if someone is charged for fraud/scamming, it’s very difficult for them to get a job or shake that reputation off. It’s no different for artists and people who play video games, mentally ill or not.

why bring this entire debacle to the forum then if its only been regurgitated in certain areas of Stormwind RP (until now as a few good samaritans have shared it with people outside those circles) and why pull the victim card? Is mental illness suddenly making the person ripping others off and giving commission artists a bad rep a-okay?

I just wanna briefly mention that in most of the EU countries, you go to jail for fraud. Depending on the money you scammed, you have to pay that back + a lot more + jail time.
This person knew exactly what she was doing. So she would be completely hold responsible for her actions.
If we were in the USA, she would go to jail for a good amount of time if anyone of the scammed people would want to sue her. Speaking of 10+ years. Scamming and fraud isn’t a joke.

Yeah it’s very dependent on country to country. But in short, you get a criminal record, and that’s not gucci.
Edit: ^ You ruin your own life and can harm others so don’t do crime in any capacity frens.

How would you like if your boss arbitarily took back your wage? What if it happened multiple times? Ever been in a situation where you might not make rent or your utilities got cut off? What about going hungry for days?
While a lot of people seem to think that making art should be a passion project only, it takes time and effort just as any other occupation. Pay your artists, folk.
I have no horse in this particular race as I don’t think I’ve drawn anything of note in over a decade but scamming is criminal no matter who you do it to.
I do not remember any 17 page or such but were informed back in may 29 there was some kind of art scam going on, not sure if that was the one.
I personal have no liking of people that do scamming / frauds in any ways.

I am an artist my self, but i do it just for a hobby or art-trades, but it makes me absolutely angry cause how someone would do such thing, Harder it makes it for artist that wants to make it for a living and people that seeks commissions.
Even tho how much that things occur in or outside of our community we shall certainly stay neutral and take great precaution wen an accusations has been made, cause there could be a something the accuser have not been truthful bout and made a complete lie bout it or a twisted truth too spice it up a little ect.
While many desires justice and all that, we shall not over do things too far and go full Social Justice on people.

You do not know who sits on the other side of the computer; as far as life goes everyone may have one issue or another, and from experience, that’s the case. So you either shut it out and treat everyone as the anonymous people they are with no regard; or you acknowledge that every single one of us may be struggling with something and you don’t try to guilt-trip us by pointing at one.
You want us to feel bad for a scammer by quoting this; have you given consideration for the folks that were scammed, and who were likely waiting days if not weeks for their refunds?
Scamming is a crime; not merely a rule breach on an RP server. If they want a new life; drop the previous name and start over. If they truly have remorse and regret they’ll start over all fine and reintegrate into the community.

If anyone ever tells you that, straight up run. I’ve met one person who did lie to “make it more interesting” and “spice it up”. That person was absolutely insane.
I wanna mention this since OP advocates for mental health so much:
if I was someone who got scammed by this, I would never ever trust another artist again. Imagine someone wanting a commision of their character the first time, never done that before and this happens to them. A trust-break for life. It only takes 1 bad experience to make a person distrustful forever of a certain situation.
If the person really was “sorry”, they would come into this thread and apologize. Maybe say they get help by a therapist or so. But c’mon man… THis is just embarrasing.

Just so, did you know of her scamming people? And if so, why didn’t you protect her and tell her “Hey, stop, you can’t do that.”?
I will state the obvious:
because it’s a (supposed) woman. If this happened to a male friend of his, he would not care. Atleast that’s the picture so far since there was zero reason for him doing this thread in the first place. Other than white knighting of course.
Assuming you’re just trying to stir the pot here but I’ll clarify.
- I wasn’t aware at the time of her scamming. If I was, you can absolutely count on the fact that I would have called her out on it. This all seemed to transpire whilst I was away from WoW. She also chose to keep her web of lies from me, I’m assuming this is because she’d be aware that I’d be the first to call her out.
- The fact that you’re assuming, because I disagree with the document made, that I must also be a scammer, is ridiculous. I’ve made it very clear from the start that I do not condone her actions, I think scamming and lying is vile. If I was active on WoW and aware of her actions, as said, I’d be the first to call her out.
Seems that the sentiment of the post has been entirely lost. In standing up for what I believe in (that making a 17 page document about somebody is wrong), I’m now also apparently a scammer, and condoning her actions. Not once have I condoned her actions, which I think you’d do well to remember.
I hope that makes it clear enough for you.
Not defending either party (because there’s still so little info on this), but accusing someone of simping because they’re defending a friend that is female is a weird hill to die on. Nor is it “obvious” just because she’s a woman; it’s not like OP went on about how much they’re into them or whatever. Suddenly it’s simping to have female friends.
