Your proof being that I joined because I was interested in roleplaying a dk, then the community not being for me suddenly and automatically makes me a “spy”. Players have alts and new characters all the time, there is dozen upon dozen of crossover through these communities.

think you’re just projecting because the vast majority of RPers I know have far more interest in RP than they do in status. Hell, most people tend to shy away from spotlights.

I think you’re taking my words abit our of context, when I was referring to players in circles or even cliques. It’s a complete primal game, and players are constantly ostracised as a result of not conforming or even disagreeing.

Even if I’m really (REALLY) casual when it comes to RP (mostly because of stupid reasons), I’ve seen this issue quite a lot in my small RP times.

I’m not familiar with this infamous guild so I can’t really give any opinion but I can say something about ERP.
I think ERP has taken a step further. I guess everyone is aware that it’ll always exist no matter what but now you can just find people ERPing everywhere.

I remember a couple of weeks ago, I was on my rogue Orgrimmar - Wyvern’s Tail I saw a Demon Hunter and a Death Knight ERP there, probably I found it odd because I’m not familiar with RP but I don’t understand why someone would choose a ’public place’ to do those kind of things.

But again, you can pick my words with a pinch of salt since I’m really casual.

I’m noticing the same. I while ago I was passing by the Silvermoon Bazaar on an alt and there’s literally an entire line of ERPers standing in front of the inn (seemingly) all the time these days. Even got an unwanted whisper from one of them that wasn’t on a trial account.

I mean, I know the RP there has always been called questionable in terms of lore and character concepts, but at least the people there were still regular RPers. Now it’s like a second Lion’s Pride and that’s sad.

I love that you’re attempting to insinuate my interest to roleplay as being some form of conspiracy. So let me clarify, it’s not, and it’s attitudes like this which are the main reasons to why people are driven away because of this constant “suspicion” that there’s ulterior motive at hand.

And in regards to backing up a guildie, it’s more defending yourself and a friend. I had several Death Knights come to me being either extremely passive aggressively inquiring about a situation to which I was not present, or them being unpleasant and blowing something completely out of proportion simply for the sake of gossip.
