A warning to blizzard

Once you get your way and the casuals are gone from the game…

there will be no one left to do the cooking and cleaning required to keep the community flowing.

looking at the NA forums people seem pleased at this new approach to favour the hardcore and kill off the little man…

a mmorpg dies when the casual community leaves…

So far the only community that seem to leave are the whiner community.

trust me there is a lot more people leaving than the ones being vocal about it… its not like everyone comes to post on the forums…

this mindset of “good get rid of the casuals” when it comes to the reaction of the way blizzard are directing this game towards hardcore raiding and nothing else… is idiocy at it’s finest.

its damn shame they seem to be leaning towards favouring the toxic hardcore community and seem to not care at all about how it effects long term casual fans…

people wont know what they lost until its gone unfortunately that goes for everyone. good luck to people who stay long enough to find out.

And not everyone who likes it comes to the forums to praise it.

What’s your gripe with the game? That you don’t get showered in loot in M+?

Noone wants to get rid of casuals. I want to get rid of people who dont like mmos but keep playing wow cause they’re addicted. There’s been so much whining here and almost 0 meaningful feedback. just create your goodbye thread and move on

Casual player here, What’s the problem exactly? I’m not trying to be funny, I honestly don’t get what your issues are? I might actually agree with you if you actually say what’s bugging you in game.

My gripe with the game is the communities blindness to all the things implemented in shadowlands which do nothing but prolong and delay…

people like yourself most likely who happily bend over and accept anything they give you. despite it being heavily water down versions of previous adaptations… in a fancy packaging to fool the masses into believe it is more than what it is.

there is no arguing with certain people on this forums i know this its impossible generally to get a point across on these forums there is always people who jump at them to discount any negative feedback towards the game.

i don’t know if it is their own protection mechanisms or if they genuinely believe everything about shadowlands as it is right now is good…

either way i know what i think and i will put my word out about it if i feel like i have to.

Fat doubt. I took a long hiatus when the game sucked for me in WoD.

Just as I barely played in BfA when Reaping was the M+ Affix.

Oh, now i totally trust you. You are such a credible source for that claim, why would i ever doubt what you say?

Because it happens in ever expansion. it is not rocket science.

2 weeks form now the honeymoon will be over…

people will start seeing the grinds for what they are and the stupid high requirements and demands for the easiest of content… and they will leave.

i may not be a credible source … but i am not stupid and neither is this rocket science… the way shadowlands is right now is doomed to have massive sub losses…

if they don’t act to improve existing feature before it happens.

Why? Because you don’t like something? Or you know the opinion of millions of people? I know it won’t happen, but it would be nice if you could get over yourself.

Nah, he’s right. New expansion hype is real, and then the player base tapers off until next patch. It happens Every. Single. Expansion. Ever since Cataclysm.

live in denial then that is you choice to do so … at least i am open minded enough to admit that things in this expansion are not good enough to satisfy everyone.

i am pushing for them to act and improve those things so people don’t have to quit by the way.

but it will inevitably fall upon deaf ears… no doubt about it … like you said im not credible i dont have a following … im not a youtuber or streamer…

im just some guy who happened to play the game since 2005… as a dedicated fan …

Nah, he’s not. He’s talking about massive sub loss and every casual player leaving because he thinks players can only enjoy wow is they do hardcore stuff and that will scare them away. A sub loss will happen, but not a huge sub loss that will make every single casual player leave the game, not even most of them, especially not for the reason he is talking about, which only exists in his head.

Ppl since last year singing about dying WoW and mass sub lose…and here we are…same ppl…same game. You don’t like a game but you still bought SL, and after not full resets it’s mass hysteria. Check in YT search box “german kid game hysteria rage” it’s you. I playing few hours a day and still didn’t have enough time to make full daily route, don’t mention about making few m+ runs. If you made all things in game you are outside “casual” frame…
And most funny things: before SL “why game isn’t like a classic, too easy”
after: “wrrr maw i cant use mount, mummy help i didnt get free gear what i paying for every month”

More like since tbc, agree about everything you said though.

Given there was a guy in 184 complaining he couldnt solo layer 2 in torghast makes me sincerely doubtful.

Also what high requirements.

Who said that? Anyone who honestly believes classic is harder compared to retail is already a lost soul.

I play in a casual guild and we are having a blast so far.

I gues you forgot to say you’r opinion is personal .

Well, if we take a look at history, we’ll notice that the opposite happened. Back when Blizzard started pandering to the casual community, players began quitting the game en masse and subscriber numbers plummeted.

I don’t think anyone here thinks the expansion is going to satisfy everyone. Also, it seems to me like you are the most close-minded person in this thread so far, and unable to admit that many, if not most, players might like the changes made to the game.

Here’s the thing you need to understand about a game.

Casual players are getting their story, their covenant builds, casual pvp, and world quests, professions, etc.

They’re fine.

The only people who are NOT fine, are those who have been given free loot without investing the effort and time or being good enough to earn it. And these people need to learn a valuable lesson.

You either are a casual who shouldn’t care about the gear, or you put effort into it to get that gear. There’s no version of being carried all the time or being given what you want, anymore.

And if they’re not ok with it, Good. The remaining players will increase the quality of the game, when these unwanted people leave.
