A warning to blizzard

Well not everyone.

I like looking in the journal and going ok I want This bow or this leg and this conduit so this is what I need to do.

Rather than hitting a pinata getting 68 pieces and throwing them all in the trash then getting 1 piece finally and throwing away as it has the wrong trait.

Or being weapon locked like Legion

Would you feel like it’s less rewarding if you get the piece you want in 8 runs instead of 20 ? Are you having less fun ?

“Mate”, I came back to official servers with Legion , and /quit BfA and now I’m back again.

Hardcore doesn’t mean achievements or Mythic Raiding. Want me to draw that to you, maybe you’ll finally understand? I can do that, no worries.

I’m having much more fun aiming for the piece I want and will be very happy when I get it

Do you play any alts at all ?

So just being online is hardcore to you?

Druid mage rogue and shaman, I have not played an expansion this alt friendly in years easy to gear to a acceptable level with ok stat weights and catching up in renown takes 2 hours maybe max.

I plan to raid next tier as this one’s too close to Xmas for me I’m pretty casual but like to push when I can

It might be alt friendly if you dont plan on gearing them up above +0 , otherwise its very far from alt friendly. Between the terribly low drop rates and torghast being mandatory I dont see how this is alt friendly

I completely agree with the OP.

It’s not just a case of ‘casuals eww’ though. It’s more a case of the game not being inventively designed to encourage casual players to attempt raiding or higher difficulty modes.

It’s also the lack of alternative content for people who don’t enjoy raiding.

Leveling is no longer the diversion it used to be as it’s entirely superfluous to the point it might as well be entirely removed. WoW no longer has that ‘MMO’ feel where the world ‘FEELS’ enormous and there’s a lot to do.

Get to 60, get your gear, go raid.

No incentive for exploration, no incentive for world building, exploring, learning new things, all of your treasures are on a neat little map, no ‘real’ point to professions anymore outside of a few items for certain classes, - the Maw is technically a good example of innovative zone design but the only incentive is to make Torghast easier to get legendaries for raiding and is otherwise just bleak and repetitive. Maybe if they had put more thought into the other zones aside from the Maw, and given them unique zone mechanics, it could have been more interesting.

Ultimately, it just doesn’t feel worth logging in that much anymore. The magic is gone.

i dont give a damn about your IO dude…

? I’m not talking about my IO I’m talking about the leaderboards so you can see that people are farming +15’s and above…

Wait what? What do you want to see? My hardcore raiding char in Legion? Seriously, I really don’t know what you are trying to say here. If I say I play hardcore, I play hardcore, because 7+ hours a day is hardcore. And as I said, hardcore doesn’t mean achievements and mythic raiding.

Point is, SL is far from perfect, but is better than the pathetic BfA. Causals will always be causals. You can’t compete in Gear and Skills with a hardcore.

Carry on …

The moment you began your post, I can already say for certain you’re lying, bud.

I don’t plan on gearing all of them only my main.

I feel its alt friendly though let’s see what the ilvl is increased too next week (this reset) from world quests that will have an impact on alts I’m sure.

I can see your point though further the xpansion goes the less friendly it could potentially be to alts

WHY do causals needs to do raiding ( beside LFR ) or higher difficulties ?!? They are causals for a reason!! You don’t have more then 1-2 hours a day to play the game? No worries, there is plenty of things to do for a causal.

…but asking to do higher difficulties content by being causal, is pathetic. Only in WoW forums I keep seeing : I’m a causal but I want to do ALL the content, easy and hard.

No, that’s not how gaming works. You play more, you do more. You play less, you do less.

Yeah, you need to learn lesson that in Shadowlands if you try to gear through M+ or raids nothing other than luck matters currently and your effort is worth nothing if you are not lucky. So if you are not lucky and prefer PVE - unsub. And GV is not helping because both lucky and unlucky get GV, the gap stays the same.

That’s the lesson you mentioned?

What if I told you, you can be online 24 hours a day and only do casual content… you’re not doing anything a casual doest do, youre just doing it longer.

And I can see your legion progression

HAHAHAHAH

I mean, this was ALWAYS the case : Being Lucky, beside doing the content. In every game out there, this is the “way to go”. Blows my mind that people still don’t get it.

Listen, if you want insta-handed-items, maybe try some mobile games or F2P games, where you can pay real $ to get the items you want.

oh right. Since it has NEVER been RNG before. It’s day one of RNG, right when shadowlands started.

You might be new, but drop RNG has been a thing since classic. It’s part of every MMO i played or heard of.

The fact that items no longer suddenly titanforge, actually makes it much cleaner than before. Because this way, you want a weapon from mists dungeon? You repeat the mists until you get it. Unlike before when you did that, and also wanted a titanforge and a socket addition.

So sure. Complain about RNG that existed since classic.

I’m listening.
