Im gonna change realm and I wonder if it would work to ask someone to name their character the same name as my name is on a new realm then transfer to that realm to get a prompted name change or would the new character simply get deleted and replaced?
prob rename prompt, but im not sure tho
You can make a char yourself on the designated realm with the name you want to change on the char you want to migrate. Nothing will get deleted, you will get prompted for changing the name of your char after you migrated it.

You can do it yourself, make your own character with the name, you will get prompted to change it, I did.
