Ability bloat

Which dps classes would you say has the least amount of ability bloat in terms of rotation/defencives/utility.

From my experience outlaw seems to have the most by a huge margin and evoker/fury warrior seems to have the least but id like to hear your thoughts.

heh. check ww monk. what a mess. i can’t speak for all classes/specs, but yeah fury warr. and a strange one that i noticed, guardian druid, for first time since like forever my druid hotbars are half empty whereas before they were choking. outlaw is actually not bad either, below average amount. though mind you i play my own specs and avoid new abilities until i at some point may get bothered to take a glance on icyveins if there are tempting improvements to be made. usually after meeting a impressive player with that class/spec in game and inspecting where bulk of damage come from in comparison to my own. fury warrior all the way, playable with sub 50 iq.

Maybe Ret Paladin. Rotation is braindead easy. Fill up holy bar → Press big spender. Repeat.

We have a zillion buttons but don’t use all constantly. Many defensive cool-downs. 4 different healing buttons. Mix of st and aoe. Plus utilities. 90% of three bars. Plus ress.

Brewmaster is since MoP my favourite Tank Class, but the amount of Abilities they now have, are pure nightmare.
Lucky i got a Razer Naga (Mouse with a additional 12 Button Keypad), but still, waaaay to many abilities.

I think Beastmaster Hunter is the one with the least amount.

Beastmaster hunter, frost mage and destruction warlock probably. The new annihilator build for fury warrior also has a pretty smooth rotation with not too many abilities.

Sub rogue.
2x burst cooldows (that you press together) + shadowstrike/eviscerate. Classic era level of complexity.

mage seems to have a lot… I barely have space on my bars and have to come up with ridiculous keybinds like shift+space, or shift+scroll up xD

What an interesting thread.

I agree entirely by the way. We have way too many buttons that do the same thing, and too many modifiers on cooldowns. Even as a mage, which was just described as being on the simpler side, my bars are bursting.

I wish there were more sensible passive talents replacing active abilities than there are right now. Frankly, I’d take a little lower dps if I could get rid of a few abilities xD but rn I can’t… And now I can’t even go incanter’s flow and gotta play rune more than ever because, somehow, devs manage to accumulate mage damage into burst more than in previous expac… every expac. Thanks to new shiny trinkets for instance.

Stay clear off mage.
That’s all I am saying here…
I have 4 skillbars filled to the brink and I use nearly every skill…

Beastmaster hunter for sure

I love how they had the issue in SL s3 with the “Old Warrior Soul” bieing Bis for warrior/rogue’s eventhough it was from the prev season.
They said, “We never want this issue again”.

Procceeds with Talon for mages
