ABout addon like TSM

Hey all. So i just starting to get in to selling and stuff and have alot of problems with addons like TSM. The price it lists after post scan is just crazy high…every BOE weapon lvl 60ish it posts with 2k-16k price. It gives two disenchant values and region price. So is there any real tooltip to price item correctly. At wich price point i should look at? Maby there is any addons out there that highlits rare/pricy BOEs - like i had one in poe where certain stuff highlited more. Cos TSM post scan is stupid…there no way anyone will pay 16k for a random 2h green axe

Oh and rare scanner…that thing is as buggy as i rememmber from last time playing. Always some errors, but using SIlverDragon - that thing doesnt go off untill i have already rare targeted or mouseover… if im not wrong, these scanners went off as soon as rare was in your line of sight without mouseover or target?!

I don’t think TSM is even allowed as per TOS as it’s a addon with paid options. Honestly wow should update it’s ui and just ban all addons. It’s either cheats (DBM) or they cost money or don’t work.

Haha seriously? TSM has been around for years, I use it, nobody has been banned for using TSM.

@OP - TSM is a very powerful addon and takes a while to learn, you need to look at some youtube video guides to get started and you need to adjust the default price string.

I tried TSM briefly, like you I seen the prices it recommends are way too high. Then it says subscribe to them with real world money for accurate prices and then i knew why they were giving wonky auction price sale recommendations. I didn’t get a single thing sold when I listed it at prices it recommended.

If I do auction something, I’m back to checking prices manually and going around whatever price is current for that item. TSM did look like it would help you price things better, but the reality of it is far from it.

Maybe that is the price to sell if you consider transmog collectors. That weapon could be a rare transmog that some times is sold at those prices, but of course there is also the fact that transmog collectors who would buy old BOEs are a minority. There ARE some BOE greens that are usually sold in prices about that or more because are rare transmogs, for example plate Glorious set.

Not anymore, it was changed by Blizzard during WOD or Legion. Now addons are only able to detect rares when they are targeted, mouseover or when they appeard in the mini map. And the minimap part is only available from Pandaira onwards. So, for older rares targeted and mouseover is the only option. That makes harder to explore those old zones in search of rares.

Not users, I think it’s not allowed to promote or talk about it on the forums.

Okay, thank you very much all for replies. Both questions got explained - so thanks

Lol. If u think that is cheating. Without dbm bosses would be as easy and boring as the classic bosses with 1 or 2 mechanics.

TSM has both a free version and a paid version, and selling an addon still against Blizzards rules, but is using a bought addon too? According to a pic on the zygor site you can’t get banned for using a bought addon.

You would be surprised how much people pay for certain things. Especially vanilla items have great prices.

My biggest TSM achievement was selling the 22-slot bag from Haris Pilton, which costs 1.2k, for 462k gold. I have no idea why someone bought that. But they did

You cannot charge for the addon itself but you can charge for the data you get from them and that is what TSM is chraging for. realm specificdata, realm syncing, shopping deals and top server deals.

They are chraging for access to their database data and automation. Everything on TSm addon itself is free.

Its the same with zygor. They do not charge for the addon but charge for the guides that load in to the addon (data).

So no its not against the ToS

Most addons that have a premium or patreon etc are just enhanced extras that you don’t need in order for the addon to function.

I don’t think TSM is any different in this regard.
