So I recently reinstalled wow and had to download a lot of gamedata for that. It automatically installed into my regular HDD but I want it on my SSD, where it was before.
I’m playing now and I can just try to do it when I’m not playing to figure it out but I’m just gonna ask here anyways: if I still have the game data from I think up to 8.1.5 on my SSD will I be able to install wow without having to download about 80GB of data again? Or can I just copy files and reinstall it?
Copy/Paste will work.
Start installing WoW to the location you want.
Once download starts close and exit, paste the files from your other HD and then open thegame and repair.
Should work i think
You don’t have to do either.
Literally just drag the entire install directory to your ssd, then update the filepath in the battlenet launcher.
Job done.

Thanks a bunch. This seemed like a great option so I interrupted my gameplay to do it, and it worked. Game loads so much faster now.
