So many people in the Alliance don’t see how it looks like on the side of the Horde right now. Most of the time people who are supporting Sylvanas are attacked. Let me shed a little light on the situation. Just from my point of view.
In the beginning, I sided with Sylvanas because I was sold on faction war promise. It looked like finally there will be something interesting happening in WoW. After that, I’m staying loyal to her because I hate how Blizzard is trying to shove Baine and Saurfang “the best of the Horde” through.
Not only they left every Horde player between genocide and treason, but everything else is just bland and shallow.
Now when the Alliance players are asking: “How can you stand by Sylvanas after all she did?” Well, what are the choices? Her or Baine/Saurfang. Neither option in current circumstances is what people asked for. In the Alliance, you have a plethora of just reasons to fight and zero actual moral dilemmas. We, on the other hand are forced into repeating Garrosh scenario.
I was forced to hate her, they give me more reasons now to hate her, I love to hate her now
Hope that tshe will die as far as possible so we can get rid of this cartoon villain.
We all know that either Sylvanas is going to betray her loyalists or else Blizzard will just delete every loyalist character when Sylvanas dies in the final raid.
I guess I will play troll mage in Classic then…
At this moment I am happy Zanda is a separate faction with our own Quenn.
Cause they are making Sylvanas dumber every story patch.
I mean, there are no options for the Horde players. I know WoW was never an RPG where you had any choice, but in a situation where you are forced to literally repeat earlier expansion story structure, some people will rather side with Sylvanas. Not even to justify her but as a defense against Blizzard telling us “Oh no, you don’t.”.
I hate Sylvanas and don’t play Horde so for me there is no moral dilemma or issue, so you’re right on that angle.
In a way though it is far worse as we have absolutely nothing!
At least you have a conflicting story line with choice, hi-res cinematics and unpredictable characters. We have no choice, standard Jaina family issue cinematics and a story about an Elf Night Warrior which Blizz has said is all wrapped up and done.
I know which one I would choose if I had a choice. Oh wait I am Alliance we don’t get that.
Just accept Thrall as your warchief again how hard can that be or you still are brainwashed to think your zombie lady will redeem the Horde she’s been destroying and dismantleing the Horde since she became zombie warchief.Dont get me wrong we have a useless drooling weak boy king who is inexperienced we already suck.
The cinematic didn’t suggest that Thrall would be coming back to lead though, he’s coming to fight, the rogues attacking him kind of sealed the deal. He will do what it takes to keep his family safe, then presumably return to them.
Sylvanus is walking edge since she was first created, no matter how many saurfangs horde gets or how many alliance members are trying to become warchief, sylvanus will always be annoying, obnoxious and stupid character …
Well. I made this post exactly because people see supporting Sylvanas as a terrible choice. The big problem is that there is no good choice anymore. Both sides presented to us are terrible on some levels. At least supporting Banshee feels different than reliving Garrosh and doesn’t make role-playing snore-fest.
I also feel you with Anduin. Actually both factions feel stuck right now. I don’t know if it is writing, but everyone is acting out of character. Would it be that difficult to make Tyrande try to destroy Suramar’s Nightwell at the end of last expansion? It would make much sense for every side’s perspective, add natural conflict and some villainous characteristics to the Alliance (for a change).
I really loved Sylvanas’ story in wow and it pains me that she is written in a corner. Someone who lived through that much tragedy was made cartoon villain.
Sorry to ‘p’ on your parade but his family are six feet under. Didn’t you realise that was what he meant when he said they were near and looked downward. I was kinda hoping both of them would fall down a hole and vanish from the game also.
If I was Sylvanas I would exit stage left before one of these crazed writers watches another episode of Game of Thrones and thinks they can do better… or was it all a dream. I dunno. More like a nightmare if you ask me.
For me I finally caved on this game. I really can’t stomach the writing anymore. Turned my most loved world and characters into a bonkers mess. Dunno who I dislike the most… the writers or the games developers. If their plan was to create one ginormous mess that managed to annoy everyone, then I think they succeeded. Sadly even for me I cannot stand by anymore and just take it.
I didn’t pay attention to that sentence, good catch. If Thrall’s family is indeed dead, than I think it would be 100% end for me. Not that I’m actually a huge fan of Aggra, but the writing is so messed; sometimes overboard, sometimes borderline stupid, sometimes too mild, but never on point.
