About the lack of capes

As a transmogrification fan, am somewhat obsessed with collecting sets and at that moment my obsessed brain is focusing on my warlock. I love the older sets especially the Conqueror’s deathbringer garb & Merciless Gladiator’s Felweave Armor. But theres a lack of matching capes for the older sets. Please could this be looked into at somepoint i know it’s not a big issue but would be nice QoL to see the older sets get some love.

A cool idea would be to add them to the trading post  crosses fingers

Capes are cool true
But no toothpick in the mouth!!!

They have added cloaks for older sets in the trading post already. The DK and Paladin sets from Nighthold both got a cloak that matched that set.

So yes, finger crossed for others!

If my memory is right, capes did not really exist as a “visible” item at the very start of WoW (I vaguely remember graphic engine limitations), so the older sets don’t include flowing back pieces.

It’s quite possible that some will be added now, or that there are matching (or almost-matching) looks already buried somewhere in the huge amount of 20+ years of content.

But I’ll quote Edna Mode anyway : “NO CAPES !!!

Nice looking, heroic superlook and all that, and also wonky animations, bits getting into the pauldrons, some character races with “back appendages” (Draeneï, Taurens, Vulperas, Drachtyrs) sometimes have a bit of said appendage poking through the cloak, and other little details that really irk me when I’m forced to stare at a glitchy back for hours.

And I’ll refrain from commenting on the lethal liability those things are in actual mêlée or running through densely packed terrain …

But Capes are a health & safety hazard! Won’t someone think of the children? (or Madonna)

Kidding obviously, I am a keen cape collector.
