I recently dusted off my demon hunter for nostalgia’s sake, but noticed something quite off about the whole blindfold situation.
While there is still a green texture painted on the ones showing the “eyes” glowing behind the cloth, there is no longer a glow effect applied to them. Stand in a pitch black area and the only glowing texture will be your tattoos. I am almost entirely certain that there used to be such an effect back in Legion…?
The glow is there but it’s very subtle.
Can’t say for sure nowadays as I don’t use blindfolds since a long time, as for pitch black areas no idea either. Lightning in WoW isn’t particulary good or accurate.
Having done a bit of research, it seems to be a blood elf issue. Male night elves still have a vague glow on their blindfolds!
Yea we do (males at least), never noticed this for male BE, you tried only with females?
Somewhere around 8.3 eyeglows were screwed up. Noticed this on my main, DH & DK alts, probably they will show up as shop-only customize option. You know, pay to get your character look like it did already.
Didn’t they update how eyes work in 8.3? Night Elf, Blood Elf and DK eyes were tweaked. Remember seeing Blood Elf eyes as no longer one color, but with a light pupil in the middle.
