are they stronger than the titans? what’s the counter of em? i saw that picture of the WoW universe, and from that Void lords are the strongest things from the shadow.
Yes
Aaaand no
They are not part of the physical universe and require immense amount of power to enter; when Dimensius the All-Devouring manifested in the physical universe he/it was “weak” and destroyed the ethereal homeworld of K’aresh…
Dimensius at some point also attacked a world named Karkora. The naaru T’uure arrived to defend its inhabitants and expended its own life force to save Karkora’s people. It shattered into fragments, releasing a massive holy nova that washed away the void and banished Dimensius from the world
Sargeras was so afraid the possibility of a Void-Titan he decided, its better to kill everything than let the Void have it
He wasn’t afraid the Void Lords, since they can’t really manifest…
Aligning with what Chronicle said about how weaker void lords are when manifesting, Dimensius was described as a fragment, shadow, echo of a true void lord’s power, and Xal’atath said to be eagerly awaiting the day one would be able to “truly pass into this realm”.
So Dimensius who destroyed a planet and almost another… was a faint echo what a Void Lord is… but they are not really could do more in the physical world ,thats why they need a Void Titan
Sargeras feared the Void-Titan possibility
So stronger or not?
In the Void? Yes
In the phisycal universe where the Titans live? No. And since they know they can’t beat a Titan in to submission, they created the Old Gods to warp a World Soul the only time its volnurable to them: when unborn/sleeping and turn it to their servant
So long story short, The Void lords are extremely powerfull but they can’t really enter the physical world. Can you explain more to me? Naaru is like the manifestation of the light?
The naaru are a race of living, sentient energy beings made up of shards of fractured Light.
In the primordial era following the birth of the universe — a result of the clash between the Light and Void — shards of fractured Light occasionally gathered in the Great Dark Beyond and formed clouds of Light from which powerful beings emerged, among which were the benevolent naaru. When the naaru gazed out across the universe, they saw limitless possibilities and vowed to use their mastery over holy magic to nurture life and hope throughout the cosmos
They are perhaps the purest expression of the Holy Light that exists in the Great Dark Beyond, and have vowed to bring peace and hope to all mortal civilizations and waylay the forces of the Void and they are the sworn enemies of the Burning Legion
Yet not necessarily “Good” guys
*cough * Xe’ra *cough * Mother of Light * cough *
I think it’s more about what they can do that scared the arcane out of Sargeras rather then how powerful they are by themselves. Atleast in this realm of existence.
Not nessecarly good? I tought the Naaru can be only good, Who is x’era? I appreciate your answers:)
She was
You decide how “good” she was
But the Light is… lets say…
Debatable
And there is the whole Alternat Draenor conquered by the Army of Light in the name of the Mother of Light… forcefully converted Mag’har…
Nasty stuff
As is the whole notion of a sentient Light anyways. Xe’ra is not the Light. Neither is Yrel or A’dal. Nor are the Scarlets, the Argents or the Silver Hand. There are quite different ideas of morality between people who use the Light. The commonality is not some moral flawlessness… but the commitment to do good as they see it. And some ideologies have a more authoritarian idea of how to do good than others.
That even goes for Naaru, who are confirmed to be able to have seperate agendas.
X’era was an extemist.
Extremism in any form is never good.
To be honest, followers of the light were/are alway a bit extremist
Or have the predisposition for it
Xe’ra, A’dal, Valen, Uther, Arthas, Sally and the whole Scarlet Crusade… even the Blood Knights who drained M’uru for power or your avarage Army of the Light member or even a “common” Paladin… just to name a few
Its just a matter of time you start yelling “Darkness cannot abide within the light” like Lady Liadrin
the light is the light, it doesnt care about us, every mortal in the universe could use holy magic at once, and the actual light, outside the physical universe, would probably barely notice
