Absolute corruption or Siphon Life in PVP

Just can’t seem to decide, is this situationally dependant or is there a flat out winner?

Any input welcome.

Always Absolut Corruption

Any rationale behind that? Thanks.

i think wasting 1 global cd is already making it not good. Dmg wise also i think corruption being longer does more dmg.

Could it be situational in PVP or is the healing just too low?

too low, as affli u heal with drain life with haunt with phantom singularity, u have soul leech, mortal coil . I really think u should be happy its not needed there are enough dots and heals and healing dots

Always feel like I need siphon life in my life!

I’m not using haunt though I feel much freer without it even if I do lose the healing.

Thank you kindly for your advice.

It is a dead talent, don’t know why blizzard doesn’t remove it

It has some uses for single target burst spec (MR scaling, I believe especially with 4 sec it can hit as a truck), but I generally hate it, we have too much stuff and buttons to juggle as is. Honestly I believe that at least one other button needs to go from our rotation. Like it looks all fine and dandy on paper… but the second two melees are sitting on you… eh… way too much effort for not enough gain.

Best option is remove MR and replace it with MG from MoP.
Back than i didn’t want to play a channel spec, so i decided to play demo. Now i feel, that i missed a good Affliction season.

Maybe i get the chance with mop classic.

Yup, MR feels terrible, MG was awesome, I have no idea how they f it up this badly. I mean, Blizzard, definitely, 100% has best RPG class and mechanisms designer in whole industry. Which makes this decision so puzzling, they had it… they already had it.

Affli in Legion was interesting too… AFTER they returned MG…

Thought the same. I mean i cannot complain demo is strong in DF, but the arena forum is really mad at demo. They want nerfs, if you try to tell them that the pets can be cc’ed they lough at you.

Well Demo is in fairly good place, rest aint. So statistically they expect enemy on easier side of spectrum when they see purple. Since Demo can kick them pretty hard they get pretty mad.

I know i hate fighting demo, too. But i also hate fighting locks in general.

But i think people need to get used to demo, blizzard won’t change it back to MoP style.

But they can do with Affliction. Like the damage of them now.

i tried to tell them to kill demons … all streamers i watch kill pets, i kill pets, my pets get killed, but for how much i checked them 95% are ppl under 1400 they just want to do a pve rotation on enemies

Nobody wants to kill pets or cc them, i mean it is a pvp not PvE. So ccing a pet is stupid. They just hate how demo works and don’t want to adapt.
My mate switched from uhdk to Shadow priest so I’m thinking of switching to Affliction. But demo is far stronger than Affliction. If they go on him and let me cast my pitlord they get destroyed.

dude… like 99999 people has already told you that is not true. they cc pets and you will just take youre free time to make more soulshards and make more pets and stuff, just stop taht claim already i see it all over forum you try to protect youre spec which is op. they should nerf demo buff affli alittle and buff destro alot and thats it with lock.

Now people are not used to demo, because it was bad for 6 years now. L2p against it. I’m also ccing the pets. Instead of the lock.

the guy telling you this is 1200 affli and 800 demo (op SPEC)

and im afraid he is right those 9999 people will never learn cos they dont want to.

CC is for the portal, and once that is cc’ed, there is no other portal in 99% cases its one portal per game.
And killing is always good cos u can easily stop him to ressumon another one which makes him totally useless. But there is no point.

“more pets and stuff” lmao

That is the main issue, they don’t want to learn something new. But controlling demo should be easier than Affliction. After the dots are applied, they deal there damage.
