Absolutely broken Fire Mage

As a fire mage, it’s all doom and gloom. The spec isn’t a lil bit iffy - it’s absolutely smashed and broken.

Arcane mages can repeatedly crit for 40m with well multiplied barrages. Fire mages can’t do 40m over there ENTIRE BURST phase. And after the combustion phase is over, fire does virtually zero damage at all.

Enough is enough. As 704 ilvl frostfire fire mage I get out dps’d by players sometimes 15-20 ilvl lower than me; this SHOWS HOW BROKEN THE SPEC IS. I have ignite at over 95% uptime so everything is working rotation wise - just no dps behind it.

For frostfire fire it’s Haste, Crit, Versa, Mastery. My stats are:

44% haste (with haste wep ench)
37% crit
8% mastery
15% versa (with belt to give the 11k versa buff).

4 set bonus with 20% chance of getting a glacial spike is pathetic at best.

I’ve tried Sun Reaver which isn’t much better.

Now, I DO NOT want to play arcane - I used to play arcane since LK days infact. It’s changed into something horrible. I do not enjoy it AT ALL. No arcane blast with all cd’s running x 20 ti out of mana, evocate, conserve phase etc. That was arcane!! Now it’s a real time maths multiplication fest. Just…crap. Others may well like it - just not for me.

Now for gawd sake Blizzard, buff fire by 25% MINIMUM. Give fire some dps outside combustion. Make meteor hit for 40m like barrages do!!

I agree with this. my fire mage is performing subjectively a lot worse than every other spec i’ve leveled in TWW (and i did them all). i’d say the leveling dps (and how long it actually takes to kill something) is at least 50 to 80% higher. not only that, you’re forced to press 5x the buttons while doing so. This leads me to believe that there is some kind of bug in fire atm.

Last DF patches made me switch from Fire to Frost and haven’t switched back since then. Seems that Fire spec issues that were in the previous exp are still here lol
