I went as a healer in a timewalking dungeon, tank pulls like crazy, even dps pull left and right, even in that chaos they are alive because of me.
On two occasions a dps dies to one shot mechanic, because even though he is ranged just stays in melee. He is dead in 1 second.
He writes in chat “will you start to heal”, even though I was slaying the whole time.
They kick me before the last boss.
This needs to stop, I’ve seen people being kicked for literally nothing, I always click no but they still get kicked.
Or at least remove the debuff, since this is getting abused like crazy.
The debuff won’t get removed unless something else comes in its place.
Proposals so far include but not limited to:
“Just remove it” The darkest times will come back again
“Reduced cooldowns stacking upwards” so that if you aren’t kicked often, it starts with a minor debuff.
“Reduced cooldowns, stacking downwards” so if you’re in a “good” party, then when they surprisepikachu kick you at the end the cooldown is lower.
“Warning before Debuff” - When you get removed from dungeon you get a Warning but allows you to requeue, if you get kicked again you get debuffed on subsequent leaves.
“Add reporting for kicking” - This is akin FF where they investigate if someone is really, really using votekick so often and gets reported for it that often as well. WoW used to do this.
If you have a proper suggestion, you may submit it through the ingame feedback box. I also would like to know to see if the suggestion can be improved making it into a better experience for everyone involved.
I wish there was an ai like chatgpt which would inspect the performance or state of a person proposed for kicking and it makes a final judgement. And if the person who initiated the kick is in the wrong or is misusing the system gets kicked instead.
As is, it is abused. I was kicked by a dumb hunter who literally pulled extra and essentially acted as a squishy second tank who I kept up.
He not only expected his behavior be tolerated, he expected me to heal his stupidity and when that didn’t happen, he clicked vote to kick and I assume people just auto click yes.
One dps apologised though which was sweet of them.
Anyway to expand it slightly more, such an arbitrary cutoff would’ve hit you too as the system may have thought you healed too little. While what you think, is that the tank overpulled.
What was the cause of this system? (old returning player)
Was it people refusing to participate in dungeons if they didn’t like the random one they got?
I vaguely remember this happening many years ago when I played, tanks asking to be vote kicked from group, which didn’t cause de-buff back then.
If this is the case maybe penalize the players refusing to play with their team instead of using a system that’s so open to abuse.
Seems it’s a weapon for the opposite
I played Cata classic for a little while when it launched but it had similar issues, people would kicked party members for no reason, usually leading up to a boss so they can remove loot competitors, I got tired of clicking no to vote kicks, then leaving myself due to not wanting to play with abusers, so they would loose two party members each time a kick was successful
They initially did is what I remembered, however penalties may come either very late (upon which severe damage may have been done in the meantime) and content being stalled egregriously to the point that a series of systems was tested out in its place.
We had more GM’s back then too. So imagine.
The debuff being the latest version since the last decade.
No I don’t mean an addon clicks yes I mean when people see it they without thinking click yes.
I doubt other people wanted me gone, since tank and one dps actually did a dungeon with me before, this was a second run.
I don’t know what but it shouldn’t be so easy to abuse.
Maybe make people click two more dialogues idk.
Or make debuff be 5 mins.
First kick doesn’t give a deserter debuff, but leaves a 30 minute “warning” debuff (that can’t be seen by other players to avoid trolls kicking from seeing it), you can reapply to another group immediately with. Getting kicked again with this debuff results in an actual deserter debuff for the next 30 minutes.
Or that, that would be great. Just like when, before people could kick, someone being afk on purpose or behaving badly was considered grifting and trolling. Being kicked by an entitled person is a form of grifting and trolling.
He wasted my time just because he could.
I mean I think it is too, people should just make their own groups if they want to zerg all dungeons. We even have player community that intentionally groups up patient players together nowadays which is nice but doesn’t solve core issues.
Where they all from one realm? Is soon as i join and see 3 or more from the same realm i think they are a group and i have to do more my best. Yesterday also 4 of the same realm so i think they were a party. Also the tank rushed everytime. i didnt even had time to equip the items i got as upgrade. And once they died. Some of them are very not smart. I mean. If i cant see the tank (party bar gets darker so out of range or sight) i cant heal him. He must know. But on the other side i try to get best possible gear. Try to buy upgrades every lvl to make it easyer for myself.
They have to tweak the system that if you made it to the end boss then kicking should not be possible. Because it was a good run. Except when the group or 80% of it died 3 times or more. Or when someone offline for 5 minutes.
