Access Violation - Everything new!

Hi guys!

Long story short:
A year ago I bought new motherboard, ram, cooling and CPU. WoW would not stop crashing. I returned the items and got brand new ones. WoW would not stop crashing. A friend told me my GPU was defective so I just bought a new Radeon RX 6800. I played for 5 days straight, and today the first crash came.

Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION - The instruction at “0x00007ff72230ec3a” referenced memory at “0x000001e1afba0658”.
The memory could not be “read”.

Since before today, I have:

  • Reinstalled the game
  • Reinstalled Windows
  • Updated every driver conceivable driver
  • Deleted all addons
  • Never copying/importing any addons/WTF files
  • Bought new CPU, GPU, ram, motherboard, cooling
  • Installed WoW on the other harddrive

Can someone for the love of God take a look at these two dump files from DxDiag and my crash file (not the .dmp, right?) and tell me if there’s anything you see is the issue?

If its a new system, you might want to check the XMPP profile of the installed RAM.

The error you’re describing is nearly always due to unstable memory because of:

  1. Improper XMP Profile or
  2. Too aggressive XMP Profile or
  3. Bad memory (yes even brand new memory can be bad).

I have experimented with XMP both disabled and enabled.
It has been off since my new GPU arrived.

This is my 3rd set of 2x DDR5 pieces in the last year. All sets of RAM cannot be broken.
