Hi. A friend of mine (cant post on forums because he does not have a level 10 char) has accidentally bought an US version of the game (yes he is new to the game and is not very good at online stuff) and now cannot seem to get it changed or refunded. We wrote together numerous tickets and tried to get something of this situation but no success.
He literally wasted 100 euros and is not getting any attention at all.
All the guy wants is to play with couple of friends with less then 150 ping (we are in EU and he has US version of the game).
Anyone has any experience with similar things?
Anyone can assist with this issue and help a poor guy out?
NOTE: HE DOES NOT WANT A REFUND FOR THE GAME, just wants to be able to paly wih friends.

The game doesn’t cost 100 euros. So I have no idea what he bought. It costs 12.99 euros to play up to Battle for Azeroth, and the shadowlands expansion costs (from memory) 35 euros.
They can’t swap regions, they can only refund so he can buy it again on the correct region. If he bought the US versions, he needs to request the refund FROM the Americas region. The EU regions cannot automatically refund him, as he bought nothing from them, that’d be like them giving him free money. It may be different for a GM involved refund, but tickets are looong.
This new trend of people saying this to justify the thread as a “conversation” rather than the support request it actually is is, starting to get irritating. We’re not stupid, you know.
Only a GM or the automated refund system can help your friend out. Not even the forum staff can interceed.

We’re not able to directly assist from here as it involves another player’s account. That being said, it’s not possible for us to switch the game region once purchased.
EU support can assist with a US purchase if contacted quickly. If a refund was already denied then it may have been because he purchased the upgrade too long ago to assist in his specific case.
The quickest way for him to get into the EU realms to play with friends would actually just be to add 30 days game time to a newly created starter account. This will give him access to BFA content where he can create new characters with friends here. From there, he only needs to purchase Shadowlands.
It’s best that he contacts Support himself though!
