Accidentally reported a guildie/can't receive messages from him

A guildie of mine has written to me on Discord and says he can’t write to me on any of my characters, stating that it says I’m ignoring him.

This leads me to believe I must’ve accidentally reported him (as he is not present on my ignore list on any character), and I wonder how I can remove the report so we can communicate in-game again?

Some info I found (although from 2012) said that it only takes a few minutes for the temporary ignore to be removed, but that doesn’t seem valid in this case, as it has been occurring for over a week now.

Reporting someone in game only lasts for the current session, so if you log out and in again, their chat should be re-enabled.

However, reporting someone should not report back to the other player that they are ignoring you, so it does sound like something else. Are you using any chat addons in game? If so, remove/disable them and try again.

I had apparantly ignored his bank-alt because I didn’t know who it was and he was joking around, and apparantly that made it account wide? Fixed now, thanks!
