According to Warcraftlogs, DH is currently the worst DPS spec in the game

According to the Analysis of Shadowlands DPS Ranking, week 4 of Season 1, Demon Hunters are currently the worst performing, dead last DPS class in the game for Castle Nathria.

Every other class in the game has a DPS spec that outperforms Havoc, whether by a vastly superior margin or a slight margin, as in the case of Warriors being slightly ahead with their Arms specialization.

Blizzard has once again remained radio silent, and refused to acknowledge any issues with the class despite the constant complaints of it’s players. They have furthermore refused to offer any indication that any further tuning will be done for Havoc, but it is expected that Vengeance will see some heavy duty nerfing soon.

In an otherwise rather surprising twist of events, Windwalker monks are the best DPS class overall for Castle Nathria according to the logs, but they are not a safe reroll choice due to them falling off, severely I might add, as the expansion progresses on.

I am unsure why Subtlety rogue is logged as being below Havoc, considering it is quite a strong spec, or why Outlaw is so ahead of the pack considering it mostly sees use in m+. I think assassination is in a weird spot, it’s a weird spec that requires too much management for too little gain, on the opposite side it’s similar spec, Feral, offers much greater gains.

In the end, what are you guys rerolling to for this expansion for progression raiding?

This is factually wrong it is on the same place with ret paladin making dh and ret (both 1 dps spec for the class) the worst performing classes dps wise)
The actual difference on the graph used there between ret and havoc is less than half a damage per second.

Welcome to the club now that WW got pushed up

Was just tanking in a raid and we were held back by the terrible ST dps of the three havoc DHs in the raid. Had to kick them. People were pissed that we even invited havoc DH. I guess havoc has no place in anything other than aoe fights.

It is factually correct according to the graph shown by WoWHead.

It is understandable for you to say this, considering WoWHead did not point out DPS numbers.

However, while ret could use it’s damage removed from wings and otherwise added to it’s normal default rotation without avenging wrath providing such a large increase, the fact is that DH is still the worst, even if by 2% from Retribution’s pov.

Somebody needs to be at the bottom sometimes, why not DH?

i agree, the gap is ridicoulous though. but i’ve come to terms there really is no reason to play melee this season (m+ wise). doing my best to get 1.3k for boosting and after that not touching m+ unless it’s for weekly.
i’m making a dk since it’s piss easy to play and has amz.

If DH was 5% behind it wouldn’t be that much of an issue, but on some fights Warlock does outright 50% more damage while ignoring mechanics because haha ranged class and having cheaper legendaries. ( compare Sludge Mythic logs ).

This isn’t a small gap, it’s huge. Even Vanilla DPS wasn’t this imbalanced and that’s saying something.

Also the fact that a class with only 2 specs is unviable as DPS is unforgivable. The whole deal with the 2 specs is that they’re easier to balance than 3, so what happened to Havoc?

Fury is as bad and giving Fury a 8% damage buff won’t even change anything because it’s so bad. That being said, Arms isn’t “good” either compared to other classes.

Yeah its abandon ship time… Thank god i had this ww monk already 50lvl xD
