Account banned after no subscription for about a year

Hey, so about 10 years ago in 2014 my main WoW account that I’ve had since TBC got banned for “Exploitation of Economy” as I remember it saying in the e-mail, while it had no active subscription for about a year, I have not done anything to my understanding on that particular account that would facilitate a permanent ban, especially since it has been inactive for a year.

Now during that time, I was multiboxing other accounts that I have been leveling in a way that breaks their policy, so I got banned and I am not disputing that, these accounts were on a different Battlenet account so in no way linked to my main account, apart from using the same debit card and having the same hardware id and ip address.

I have tried contacting customer support but I only get generic replies with a link to the policy. I am 100% sure my main account has been mistakenly put in the same basket by the anti-cheat as my multiboxing accounts because of the same ip address and hardware id, but there is evidence the account hasn’t even been played for a year when the ban occured.

I would really love to get back into WoW with my first character ever, but I feel there is no hope, even if unjustly banned. I just wish a real person working for Blizzard would investigate my main account, because there is strong evidence that I didn’t break any policy on that account. Does anyone have any advice?

The best advise anyone can really give you is to make a ticket and keep replying to it if you get automated responces until a real person looks at it. Don’t make multiple tickets.

Although the ban occured during a time when the account was inactive, it does not mean you were banned for something you did at that time. There’s usually a delay when actions are taken on accounts so the ban could of been for something you did when the account was active.

Probally should mention also that disscussing bans on the forums is against the forum CoC and your post will likely just get locked by CS. The only way to resolve bans is via the ticket system (and yeah i know the support system sucks).

This is indeed still the case. Thanks, Ráevelyn.
