What is wrong with the reputations being account bound?I want the reputation progress to be account bound.If that is to hard atleast make more items account bound,because mounts,pets,toys are not enough.What about teleporting items like Hellscream’s Reach Tabard,Argent Crusader’s Tabard or Time-Lost Artifact.Farming reputations again and again only for those items is something i won’t do.Once is more than enough.
If any account bounding is off the table atleast give alts the option of receiveing twice or trice reputation gains.
Signed, one of my biggest gripes of taking ona new main is reputations not being account bound yet, I can understand current expansions but whenits old expansion reputations why should we have to grind them all out again…
The MoP reputation factions has an item you can buy at Revered to make every other character on the account gain 100% additional reputation with them. They could implement this again imo.
Account bind ALL the things!
I would be much more motivated to seek out interesting collectors items and achievements if I only had to do it on ONE character.
One reason why i firmly believe it’s a terrible idea, or at least was in BFA :
Rep was tied to player power, and timegated accordingly because it just wouldn’t be alright to give you what you want in a matter of hours now wouldn’t it ? Blizz knows better /s
Acc wide reps means you can bypass the timegating with more alts, and that’s something that will be taken into account in how they balance the rewards.
The right way to play and progress your character shouldn’t be to play another character. That’s my point and why acc wide reps would’ve been a bad idea after 8.2.
Now I didn’t like how essences were tied to reps and how the rep grind was implemented in the first place, but the right way to play the game shouldn’t be to have 12 alts and funnel resources to your main, especially since Blizz will balance the game accordingly and make it even worse for those who don’t do it.
Easy solution ? Don’t involve reps with player power !
Then I have absolutely no issue with that, speeding up cosmetics and personal goals with more alts should be up to the player. But being punished by how blizz balance their games because you dared not funnel the resources of all your alts into your main would be a terrible experience imo.
Everything but character progression imho.
(Catchup != progression just to be clear, BOA gear tokens are perfectly fine as long as they get your alts ready for current content but not skip it altogether)
I do think legacy recipes should be account bound. They’re only for transmog once they become legacy and who’s going to grind a rep (you’ve already ground out on a different toon) just for a recipe?
Yeah the legion class sets requires nightfallen exalted to get the shoulder piece ( I dont make a fuss out of it cause there are better mogs) , but it will make things simpler also if Unleashed Monstrosities could be account wide for the Balance of Power second tint haha
Yea binding character power to reputation is the wrong way in my opinion.Leave the power progression out of reputations.
I’m talking more about the cosmetic aspect.I love collecting outfits,weapon skins,tabards,teleporting items and all kind of flufy items.But most of them are put behind a reputation wall.
Agree, or at least do a good boost for alts like they had in Pandaria. Also way back in Wrath they had honor tokens players could sent to their alts, that was nice as well, never understood why they took those out tbh.
