I like it, I find it was a GREAT decision and I’m sure many others do aswell like mount and transmog collectors.

Rep meant something totally different before. It was more like AP you could grind when you had the time. Now it is just a feature of time gating. Account bound rep is the best solution to the current system.
If you didnt notice most players always like what makes their games easyer. But it doesnt mean its good.

You kidding me? If game devs would implement everything what players want and find fun this game would dieout in few weeks. You need to have fricrion and desing what players dont like if you want players to feel like the things they do are meaningfull.
Reputations arnt meaningful at all when a new expansion comes out, also the games easy enough unlss you are a mythic raider and mythic dungeon progressor. Again what harm does it make putting OLD reputations accwide?

Which is a fair point, farming old reps on multiple characters is pretty terrible imo.
Hopefully SL won’t mess too hard with reps and player power, we have one legendary iirc at honoured tho which isn’t that bad all things considered.

People still played alts this patch.
Lemme see… NPC released 4 months after the patch, most of the progression / gearing was already done and most players either left, were optimizing their character or playing alts.
In particular the essence part was long overdue, especially after 4 months of 8.3 where nothing was done to make the nazjatar farm more palatable.
It did help alts but only after most of the harm was done… Won’t really consider that as a success
I don’t really have an issue with this, but try to think a step beyond it just being
" Acc-wide Rep "
If you have over 10 - 15 alts, you would reach like revered - Exalted with that one faction you’re questing for at DAY 1
As much as i’d like Rep to be Acc-wide, i’d say it would be abit unbalanced xD

Pretty much. They’d have to remove everything related to power progression from rep vendors and keep only cosmetics.
Yeah and i mean the top tier raiding guilds would have to lvl alot of more alts to get Exalted for a rep, in order to get Rank 3 of a proffession recipt.
They could get that recipt at Day 1 of a new Patch, meanwhile let’s say a dude that enjoys playing his Paladin only… it would take a couple of Weeks.

It would’ve made things better, can’t argue with that. But it happened too late and a hotfixed change to fix a system shouldn’t be the norm when we’re talking about some universal change such as acc wide rep from this thread.
We had decent catch-up about 5 months out of a 2y xpack, should we really use it as basis for suggestions ? Next thing we know the catch-up will be gone and we’re back to the original issue…
Why not just make it to old expansions? keep new expansions as is and when the expansion is over the reputation earned to exalted would carry over to the alts, Thats a perfect way of keeping it balanced so they can keep the rewards they want on the vendors.
