I recently decided to make a Nightborne hunter since I had a SL boost sitting there and I really wanted to try a max leveled Marksmanship hunter (most of my experience comes from Survival and Beastmaster). Once I used the boost and teleported to the small intro, I noticed the pet I was given was a generic wolf. I wouldn’t normally mind, but the Nightborne starter pet is the only Manasaber that is not considered exotic and I really wanted it for my huntress. Unfortunately, support can do nothing about it so I was left to wonder if there was a way I could get the pet otherwise (I know going BM is an option but I already have two BM hunters around).
Now to the point. The only way for me to be able to get the pet without having to recreate the character and losing all the rare pets I have managed to get would be an account bound stable. To be honest I think such a feature will be helpful for people that have many characters and want specific pets for all of them. How much easier will it be for a newly created hunter to get a rare pet like Loque’nahak if this Stable existed and the player had already tamed it with another hunter? Also, in my case it would mean I’d just have to create a new Nightborne hunter and delete it after unlocking the pet, making it instantly available for the other hunters.
I don’t know how difficult it may be to add such a thing in game but, from my understanding of how the game’s UI works, adding a database in the Collection tabs like you have the mounts and wardrobe named Stable can’t be that hard. And the options with it are unlimited. You can have the tamable pets you don’t have all greyed out and a small window with information on where you can get them. In case of similar models, they can also appear in the same way they do in Wardrobe.
I’d really like more hunters’ input on this. My personal opinion is that this will be a real quality of life change and it will make camping rares to tame easier by minimizing the antagonism. Less hunters camping a rare means more happy hunters and even mount hunters considering some new tamable creatures drop mounts.
