Hi guys n gals, bit of a strange one,

Last night I was doing some fishing in Terrokar Forest getting from 340-400 fishing, using the Angleur Add-on which allows you to cast a line with double clicking the right mouse button, it comes from Curseforge, and also using Guild Roster Manager to kick long term offliners from my guild, I think it kicked something like 300ish players,
All the whole double clicking the right mouse button to cast the line and waiting for it to bob on the water to catch the next fish while watching Netflix in Picture in Picture mode,

Then I get randomly disconnected and an email comes through saying exploitive hacks etc, having never used a program like that in the 20 years I’ve been playing I’m puzzled as to what’s happened here?,

I opened a ticket yesterday evening shortly after the ban and as yet no reply, how long would I be looking at waiting for a reply, I remember the old days you’d open a ticket and get a response within 2 hours easily.

It was absolutely a false positive or maybe it picked up the guild addon, which again was downloaded off of Curse forge.

The ban may have been for actions taken days or even weeks before and then iniated alongside a banwave.

Depends on the inquiry back then. Because everything splitted off from a free field it could also balloon up to several weeks. Around expansion launches up to 5 weeks. People also created several tickets about the same issue so there were many “ghost” tickets.

Nowadays the tickets have been streamlined for better or worse.

5 to 6 days as they also do an investigation before replying to you.

You’ll recieve either an:

  • Appeal upheld
  • Appeal overturned
  • Ban reduced
  • Sent in for specialist investigation

Definitely not “Maybe not” as I’ve never downloaded any program for botting, accounts been clean for 20 years.
