I got my account hacked on saturday and still have not received a response from the tickect that I opened (5 days ago). I had to create a new account to open the ticket becouse they changed my email. I have seen in the forums that the waiting times even for serius problems as account hacking are quite high (+30 days some cases). Therefore, if it takes 30 days until the problem is solved and my account is returned to me, would it be possible for them to restore my character, armor, etc. in the case that everything is deleted?
Seriously, I don’t understand how there can’t be a prioritization system for cases like this. I have 2 active WoW accounts on my battlenet account that got hacked, one of them got my subscription renewed on Sunday after it got hacked. There are more than 12 years played in my account… and after 5 days I’m insecure that I won’t get it back :S
Tickets for hacked accounts are prioritised but may still take awhile to get serviced provided you put it in the correct category. The expected answer time is about 2+ weeks for general issues.
Since the hack is recent there will be logs for account restoration.
Thank you for you answer Saneko. What would be the time limit of not being able to restore it with the log? Im asking this becouse the new expansion will release in 2 weeks and maybe my ticket will not be checked :S
From looking at forum threads over the decade, years.
And even then the GM’s will still grant you some very basic gear and gold to get you kickstarted to the nearest quest so you can get some quest gear atleast.
It may take a while as I saw a tweet saying there are a lot of accounts being hacked at the moment.

Thanks again, your response has reassured me. I am more interested in having my classic account restored since I have a lot of naxxramas biss gear on my main than the retail account, but anyways it is good to know
