Last Sunday 26th of april, I logged in to Wow Classic. My main character wasn’t in my character list anymore. I found out that the character was transferred to another realm. (note; I did NOT request a character transfer, I did NOT paid for that character transfer, I haven’t got any mails about a character transfer,…) So I assume i got hacked and someone else transferred my character. My character wasn’t gone, he was just on another realm, which I could not enter (got the message that I won’t be able to play untill the process was finished). Immediately I submitted a ticket, still no response. On monday 27th of april, i got an email that the payment (appearently someone else’s payment), was not accepted and that they were gonna reset the transfer. For now on wednesday 29th april, still no response on my ticket, still nobody contacted me, still not able to play on my main char. Missing out some important game-time. Average waiting time for an in-game ticket, 8 days?! serious? Blizzard, do something!
You can’t bypass the ticket queue but in the meantime what you can do is secure your PC through these steps:
It’s hard to believe that anyone would pay real money to transfer your character to another realm on the same account. Hackers tend to drain money and goods from people, not supply them. Do you have brother/friend who has your account id, password? because it is more likely. People often share accounts, and when they argue, one can change password so second can’t log in, then this person comes to forums saying he was hacked, because he can’t admit that he shared account (which is against rules and is banable).
I’m definately the only person who has the login and pasword.
I can see that my char is now naked, so i hope this all doesn’t have any influence on my gear, gold, inventory…
As first thing you should change your password and set double security option through phone app (Blizzard authenticator), sometimes it’s pain when you clear browser cache and have to re-confirm login, but i’ve never been hacked.

Currently due to the global situation the ticket queues are longer than usual. If you open a ticket it will be answered once Customer Support reaches it.
In the meantime, as Saneko mentioned, take steps to secure your account and computer, and consider setting up an Authenticator.
Regarding any transferred characters, unfortunately this is something that hackers will do from time to time, usually using stolen payment details. Your transferred characters will be returned to their original server as part of the investigation by Customer Support.
Thanks for the answer! Can you confirm that this won’t have any effects on my character his gear/gold/inventory? (because right now, the character seems to not wear any gear). That concerns me the most.
In the meantime i have changed my pasword en installed the authenticator! Which i will advice to everyone in-game!
If the hacker’s access was not too long ago, Customer Support will do their best to restore any losses as part of the investigation.

Next thing what happened:
My account is now suspended! I have no idea why? I should have got an email, but I haven’t got any.
Can you somehow look at this? I really have no clue what happend and what for it happened.
I was just levelling an alt while waiting for my main to be reset to his original realm, and now this…
I hope there will be some decent support now!

I’m having the exact same problems now ( hacked earlier today, acc restored, my main char transfered with my linked paypal acc, transfered main didnt have items or gold restored and im still missing some major boe items that i hadnt soulbound yet ( spellstrike set, will of edward teh odd etc) )
So i reopened a ticket and am jsut waiting now
