Hello. Just moment ago, my main account (wow1, for any GMs that may view this) was hit with a random 3 day suspension for ‘Disruptive Gameplay’ which has left me the most baffled i’ve ever been. In recent memory, i have done nothing of the sort to hinder anyones gameplay. This suspension came one second after i asked a scammer in trade chat selling 10/10 Castle Nathria boost aka. Cutting Edge and i asked them ‘On which server’ and not a second later, i was suspended which makes me wonder if i was spam reported and i got auto-suspended. Could any GM going through these forums please give this a view as a ticket response might take upto 2 days…
Ticket queue can’t be bypassed over the forums, you’ll have to wait as GM’s do not work on the forums either.
Well thats another bummer… do you have any idea though if getting mass reported by someone results in an auto-suspension, like in my case?
As far as I’m aware, mass reporting results in a silence, not a suspension.
Only an actual GM reviewing reports, can suspend people.
i was unbanned since it was a wrongful suspension…
I think Blizzard have automated most of the banning system now, like the name reporting system has been too.
Only when you appeal does a human look at it and hopefully they do their job and look into it properly.
Blizzard see it as saving money, we see it as banned for a few days for no reason, and a loss of real money.
That’s why when I see now that someone has been banned I try not to say it’s deserved, as I used to before the automation.
How true,
Yes, the whole AI has been at work for a long time and saves the suport a lot of money. But what has not been considered behind it, that the playing time of the accounts expires irrevocably, in the time of the review.
In addition, there is often the unexpected decision of the AI due to insufficient knowledge about the possible variations. This allows an account to be banned if enough players complain about another player (his / her written language).
The AI does not recognize that the discussion does not lead to any evidence of banishment. However, due to the amount of complaints, the account is immediately banned. There is also no way to justify yourself in any way.
So it is just as irresponsible with other rules. Let us assume that in a BG of 40 a player calls for an AFK report because he did not like the way the other player played. 10 Follow this and so the AFK flagged player is removed from the BG.
There is a video here that basically says Blizzard is banning bots but they are coming back with the same name, same gear and same botting paths and level 70 in 8 hours. That is very fishy.
Except you cannot delete a character from a banned account as you cannot log into it.
Please don’t necro old threads.
