Account silenced. I'm lost, please look into my case

Hello.
10 days ago I received a 7 day communication ban on my main account. I dont want to get too much into it. Yes, I was rude to people couple of times in m+. No, I don’t think what i’ve said warranted a SEVEN day penalty off the bat. Not even close to what people I’ve seen said. I tried to appeal it 3 times with no success. So, I served my time. And since like 80% of my gameplay is m+ pugging, it was equal to a suspension to me. It is what it is. I get it.
During silence I almost did not play the game.
After penalty has ended, on Tuesday, I log in to the game to catch up with my Vault before reset. I learned my lesson. I knew its better to keep my mouth shut. So I join several random keys. Some of those runs went well, some did not. I tried my best in every single one of them. I say nothing at all, except “o./” upon entering the group. Then i decided to run my own key. I gather party from LFG tool. At the start I discuss our stategy for the dungeon, keeping it as short and polite as possible. We wipe on the first boss and disband. People insulting each other, I just leave without saying a word.
Comes Wednesday evening. I launch up Cataclysm to raid with my guild. Everything went well, we all had a great time. After the raid one of my friends asks me to do some keys with him. I join his party, he queues us to couple runs. We tried our hardest in those, but failed. It happens. Then we tried to run his own key, where in the middle of the dungeon I’ve got disconnected and silenced.
Again, I want to emphasize, I almost did not communicate at all during these 2 evenings.
I’m trying to appeal it. So far I’ve received a standard answer with link to Terms of Use, with no specific information regarding my case. I reopened ticket and waiting for an answer for almost 2 days now.
So, couple of questions/concerns:

  1. How can I receive communication penalty after like 8 hours of gameplay since the last one, where I limit my communication to a minimum? I hope someone can check my logs, because I honestly tried not to say ANYTHING at all. Or those past reports, before the first silence, for some reason caught up to me after I served my punishment for them?
  2. None of penalty notifications I’ve received via email contain information about what words I have said were reported. No examples, nothing. I asked for it in my appeals and was ignored. Even worse, notification about second silence does not contain information what time it applied for. So, is it indefinite?
  3. I’m not even sure in what game I was reported. I do not spam or advertise anything in retail or classic or anywhere. I just play m+ on retail. But on Cataclysm I raid with a guild and we have a kinda rival guild, who hate us. I suspect they might mass reported me out of spite. I would appreciate if someone can check where reports came from.

In conclusion. Yes, I was rude somewhere before my first penalty. I take responsibility for that. I don’t think it was severe enough to justify a whole 7 day penalty. But I served it and tried to change my behavior. It did not work. This is not right. I really hope someone can look into my case, check my logs. Since, at this point, without m+, I’m kinda lost and considering dropping the game. Thank you very much.

Generally ban discussions aren’t allowed on the forums. We’ll try to explain some of the questions you have since it appears yours is more focused on that over some recent ones I’ve seen.

You can and are able to be reported once you return back to the game. Generally, chats from previous penalties will not be taken into consideration into your next penalty.

There used to be a chat history attached to the email but since it also copied over chats where you didn’t do anything it confused people.

If you can’t login at all anymore you’re on the second tier of 7 days suspension from the game.

All new chat violation penalties start at 7 days silence (but can still play the game), 7 days suspension, then 14 days, then 21 days and from that point on a permanent ban may be issued or equal to longer durations depending on more metrics.

They used to do custom amounts of increasingly longer silences but discovered players intentionally seeked other ways during the silence to harass or grief other players and then moved since a couple years back to the above system.

Since you’re already appealing I wish you luck, perhaps it was wrong this time perhaps not. Blizzardians on this side of the forum tend not to discuss the content of any penalties over the forums.
