Account Suspension - 1 Month - Unauthorized Access

Hi there,

3 days ago, I received an email titled “Unauthorized Account Access” claiming that a “a player on this account used a different game account to take part into exploitive play”. I opened a ticket to get more information about the root cause of the issue, but all I got is a message that states that I have to look at the code of conduct without stating the actual issue (what was done wrong?). Looking back at the message, I never accessed any other account apart from my personal second account and I didn’t share my account with anybody. I searched a bit on reddit and many people say that a VPN could cause a ban. The issue is that since 7 months ago I live in the UAE and I use Exitlag and ExpressVPN to use discord and to play the game. Also, I never engaged in any exploitative plays. As a matter of fact, I mainly play PVE since Vanilla and never had any major issue since I moved to the UAE. I also own three sizable cross-realm communities that promote cross-realm raiding HC week 1 clears and CEs since NYA and High Keys M+. There is pretty much nothing I can exploit as I have a reputation just as some big streamers as Wootoodoo. If you are pugging on the first weeks of the raid, you probably know about Sunder’s raid.
I really believe that there is an issue with this suspension, and would love to understand WHEN did I use a different account and WHAT kind of exploitive play is it referred to.
Looking forward to receiving an answer to my question as I didn’t do any of the above.

Unfortunately you wont get an answer here as the CS staff/and us the players arent allowed to discuss the penalties.

You can however ask for an appeal through another ticket.

mind you they also wont tell you what you did wrong, not because they dont want to, their just not allowed to.

The issue is that you cannot open a new appeal to ask for more information and to look at the case. I can’t be left without a proper answer as I don’t know if it’s the VPN or anything else. In any case, be it using another account or exploitative play isn’t something I did.

For the sake of clarity I’d like to also add that appeals are reviewed manually by our staff, they will be however unable to provide additional details on what may have caused such penalty on top of what has been mentioned already in the notification email.

This is intended for privacy and security reasons, opening multiple tickets demanding more information will NOT serve any purpose.
