Well done Blizzard. Took you 8 years to figur out people like customization, freedom and fresh Class design.
100% you will still screw up something major and 1 shots remain on the game.

Will it be implemented in new expansion or new patch?
Next expansion. People quit WoW already. All gone and moved on though so they missed the train. Same thing with Rumble. 10 years too late.
finally. they’re doing everything right this time.
I know. But it pisses that it took 10 years to correct what we lost after MoP. Including friends and even loved ones.
Really happy with it.
Though laughable when you think SWTOR had it at launch 11 years ago.
I got super happy when hearing about this and first thought it meant they are finally lifting the armor type restrictions for transmogs. Then I realised that they only meant you are able to unlock mog of any armor type no matter what class you play, but you still cant use them on all classes/armor types. Nice addition for farming mogs though.
I’m happy I don’t work for Blizzard. Even when you do things properly and bring good change to the game, it’s never enough and someone will find a way to twist it against you.
Blizzard needs to take note and remember that “leveling” can be locked so must include options:
THIS must be the DEFAULT selection when you log in for the first time during 11.0! And it should be on the same level of deciding whether to autoloot or not autoloot.
OR
All the talk was about putting agency into player hands. Deciding whether you have one option or the other is as important as deciding on how your UI appears when the option to customise it was added.
I got between now and “Fall 2024” to add more transmogs and progress is generally only important for me personally on my main anyway and just because TWW was announced doesn’t mean I’m stopping with the pursuit of either activity. Besides pursuing these two (especially outside the confines of “Chromie time”) is quite lucrative in terms of what one can find and sell off. Oh the fact one can play without Chromie time is another reason this feature needs to be able to be chosen by a player and not pushed on players by Mircosoft/Blizzard who wants to tell us they’s given player agency to us all…
Making the reputations account bound and removing the transmog class restriction is just awesome
I really enjoy how Blizzard are stealing the account bound system from GW2 and putting it into WoW . This is the best decision ever.
I really hope account bound reputation is expanded through the whole game!
They aren’t removing transmog restrictions. You will be able to unlock any transmog on any character but if you can’t equip it then you still won’t be able to use it on that character, you will just unlock it for characters that can use it.
That is exactly what I meant by removed restrictions(I don’t know why you think I meant a leather class being able to wear mail for example. I didn’t say that at all).
But in the future I will be able to unlock a plate item for my paladin which dropped on my rogue and vice versa. So yea I am quite excited!
I totally misread Account wide progression as account wide professions .
Maybe they will add it too
I hope so too BUT it is a start atleast. The same was with dragon riding. It started as an expansion feature and it will become dynamic flying. I hope the same thing happens with the reputations.
I like the transmog change, even if I’ve already run most of the early raids so many times.
How does the account wide rep work? How will it impact things like Insane grind? I’ve started it and sometimes make some progress on it.
10 years late in fact.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
Actually in a dev interview they specifically said they would start to work backwards through old reps also. This is the reported quote from Wowhead: “reputations and Renowns will also be account-wide. They’d like to make this retroactive to past Reps/Renowns, but that might take some time - they’ll start with Dragonflight content and work back from there.”
If you loot a mage only hat (requires lvl 30), as paladin, and dont have any mage… how does this work? Do you still get it unlocked? Do you have to create a mage first? Can you create the char after you looted the item? So many questions
…The same as every other piece? It will be added into your collection, but only a mage may transmogg that specific piece.
This is the one part I hate about the WoW community. They get gold, and still manage to twist it into a negative.
Fair enough that we **** all over Blizz when they screw up… but at least give them the praise they deserve when they do things right.
