Account wide rep tokens

I have like many wanted account wide rep. I don’t agree the current live expansion should be account wide, until it’s no longer the current expansion. This solves issues of any kind of power gains locked behind reputations.

It does seem like blizzard want to make it account wide from what I heard in recent interviews with Ion, but keeps saying it’s not possible due to technical challenges of old code.

So why not just add an token to each quartermaster that grants exalted status for like 100 gold. Requirements to buy is that you are exalted with that reputation (So you had to do the grind once to get it). Token should only be added to quartermasters when that faction is no longer part of the current expansion.

I don’t see how that can be prevent by technical difficulties.

What you guys think?

I would agree, would be fair if you did the grind once for each rep. Then youcould easily access old quartermasters for transmogs etc if you wished to on other characters.

I would just like proper account wide reputation. I see absolutely no benefit to making every alt do the same slog.

Straight to exalted sounds a bit too easy. Seeing as tw vendors already sell +500 rep tokens they could add the other missing factions to the vendors, and create new NPCs to sell tokens when tw isn’t active. Price them at a few hundred gold on there and you’re golden.

It’s easy because the hard part you have already done. You already did the boring grind or compromised on the many cool other things you can spend your timewalking tokens on. Having to do it again is just bad game mechanics.

It depends on your point of view but for me I’ve already done that grind, I’m not repeating it on alts.

Maybe its just me, but i feel like the rep grinds are too long

Im still renown 23 with dragonscale, and its considered outdated rep T_T Yes im slow, as i only do the gold world quests since launch, but still

This is my approach to reps in general.
Apart from a few reps (such as Legionfall which I acquired doing the class order hall campaigns for class mount).

As for the Timewalking tokens, firstly not everyone does Timewalking. Secondly those tokens can be bought even if you haven’t done the grind before.

I think I’d have BoA Commendation Letters. one for 1,000g gets you Honoured and one for 5,000g gets you Exalted. You must be Honoured to buy the Honoured one and Exalted for the Exalted one.

True, it is point of view for each of us.
For me, alt is totally new character, not extension of main and needs to do same things as main. If there is a discount in terms of rep boost fine, but still need to play an alt to earn rep.

Ive maxed every renown on 3 chars over DF. And yeah, at this point i rly dont see myself doong it again lmfao.

Why proper account wide intergration csnt be done, the argument “oh but some people might wanna be able to redo grinds on alts” is a bad answer.

If ur concerned casuals may run out of things to do without making them comitt to rep grinds on repeat, add more casual content to the game in replacement of this.

To be honest if people feel it needs to be a per character thing there should just be a tickbox, similar to per character achievements.

Then those that feel value in that repeated grind can do it.
